Not speculating or saying I have heard anything from "people in the know"... Just want to know if people have an opinion on this...
Personally, I would like to see Charlie Mulgrew at Easter Road, he's out of contract. However, not sure how competitive Hibs could be on the wages front if he has offers from down south. If he was to sign it would allow us to push Murray into Midfield or fill in at Centre Half...
Thoughts?

Lethal free kick taker, but not sure if he's what we're looking for. If there's a fullback on the go, we need to be looking at the right side first.

All he can do is take a good free kick,he can't defend, can't pass, can't tackle, so yes we probably will sign for us lol

He is not a player I would really be excited about seeing at Hibs for the reasons highlighted by 18/03/07. If Ricky Foster was available on the otherhand then I would not mind seeing him at right back for Hibs as he is lightening fast.

No thanks. We need better than average players from now on to improve us. Aberdeen finished 9th this season and as far as I can make out Mulgrew wasn't even a stand out amongst their dross.

Id take him..I dont buy this theory he just scores free kicks, Ive seen him a few times now for Aberdeen and he has been good at what he does defensively.

Only gets press for free kicks. He's not a good defender.

He has played alongside Diamond at CB a few times and looked pretty good imo

Don't think he is any better than what we have. If he was good going forward then yes but I haven't seen that in his game when I have seen him.

i'd be happy with sir ian and callum booth competing for the left back slot over the course of next season. stevenson can also fill in if required.
mulgrew would bring something to the party and i could understand most spl managers being interested if he was available.
i'd rather the manager looked to use a portion of his wages budget for a specialist right back this summer.

Would rather we went for defenders who can defend. I like Mulgrew but he certainly aint a defender imo

just paper talk, but decent standard. Keogh from carlisle and Micheal Hart is out off contract. Keogh, can play RB and CH. has won a few awards this year aswell.

think mulgrew is rubbish - gets on the telly plenty when a free kick comes up but i'd be concerned at his lack of mobility
