"A former Norwich City striker, Power has been a director of 19 companies. He was chairman at Cambridge United and Rushden & Diamonds, and both are still trading. One company is a lettings firm, November Properties, but that lies dormant. Two, O Publishing and Cre8 (Publishing), are new and were set up within six weeks of each other last year, both with football club publishing contracts similar to or inherited from those at Cre8 (UK).

Power resigned as a director of Cre8 (Publishing) in February after six months on the board there, although curiously staff claim he has never been a director of the firm. Of the rest of his former businesses, 13 are either in insolvency proceedings or have been dissolved."

He seems to have that magic touch right enough.

Bit like the comedy duo, the Marr brothers, who owned Dundee FC for a while.

Always come out smelling of roses, leaving a trail of ****** behind them.

My, that was a good quiz!

Indeed, Gary Caldwell is being paid £35k a week.

    Not bad for a calamity.
and which is nail on head for what is wrong with football, i dont mind really top players getting loads, but when average players like Caldwell can pull that off its a joke

Different Caldwell, Sean. Gary, former captain of our esteemed cousins in the west is the one on £35k a week. His older brother Steven is the subject of the other thread and hasn't scored nearly as many OGs...
They've only gone and done it! They've only gone and won the Scottish Cup! What kept you, Hibs?!

Anyway, when hibs first signed mixu he was confused as to why i refferd to him as mixu and he asked me if he was irish, i told him no and asked why he thought that and he said ''well, his name is Pat o'linen isnt it'' lol, ive never let him forget that, pure genius.

no wonder the teams in england are going bust every other month. how the hell can teams like that afford 35k per wk.
    Err,

How many English c;lubs have exactly gone bust?

    None to my recollection.

Only Portsmouth have a debt approaching that of Hearts.
