Liverpool chairman Martin Broughton has chosen not to be present for the side's game with Chelsea because of his lifelong supporter for the London club. Broughton, the chairman of British Airways who joined Liverpool last month, has supported Chelsea all his life and insists he has made the "sensible" decision to miss the match.
How would we react to this at Hibs - i.e. a new chairman choosing to miss a game against Rantic because he was a lifelong supporter of one of them.

TBF, he'll prob be given some praise for being sensible and up-front about it.
As for us, I think we'd view it with a bit more cynicism and lack of trust, mostly down to the fact that the OF constantly thieve players from us, and they would most likely be our representative at league meetings, to get the best/fairest arrangements for Hibs but where the OF always seem to come out of with a lopsided deal in their favour.

He wasn't appointed because of his supporting Liverpool credentials - he was brought in to sell the club at maximum profit for the American owners. What I find more surprising is that he has bothered attending any matches at all.
