    Formation

    I'd like to see us try a 3-5-2 during the pre season and see how it works.
    Based on players already here.

    Smith or Brown
    McCormack Bamba Hanlon
    Wotherspoon Miller Welsh Murray Booth
    Stokes Riordan

    Thoughts?

    Have to disagree with you.

    There's barely any fight in the midfield at all and I don't think sticking 5 in midfield is going to solve that problem.

    Our defence is fragile enough with 4 at the back. 3 at the back would be suicidal. IMO

    Why wait till pre season, cant be any worse than the formation just now

    I can see us going to 3-5-2 this season. Suspensions and injuries in defence will force his hand.

    And I don't buy into the "lack of effort" jibes against the players. They're outnumbered in midfield every week.

    I think the defence appears to be fragile because of the lack of a midfield. There is no protection as we are outnumbered in the middle of park almost every week.

    If you use it right you can't go wrong with the 4-2-3-1.
