If DUFC were to catch Celtic then their season would be pretty much like ours...lots of early expectation that has fizzled out...No silverware and scrambling for the consolation of a trip to some unheard of country in July with a distinct chance of humiliation from their team of steel factory workers etc...

Except we won't have the honour of playing some squad of steelworkers in that scenario.

If Dundee United finish second when we had a lead over them only a few months ago will further compound this season as our best chance for glory in years, we could easily have been in the mix for second and in the Cup final.
That we are now looking at 4th at best is a shameful indictment of our form this year.
