They like to create a myth that they're middle class and we're working class, e.g. inferiority complex.

Also, they hate us more. Hence death threats/genuine anger on KB whilst we (usually) just laugh at and poke fun at them.

    1) There's actually a believable chance of there being 400,000 Hibs fans.
    2) We're actually getting a new stand built.
    3) Our strikers score goals regularly.
    4) Financially, we're not up sh*t creek sans paddle.

The list is endless. One difference that I see as significant is that when we were in our darkest hour (the mercer takeover) we had guys like Kenny McLean who led the fight to save us. A man who always behaved in a dignified manner, a true football fan. Intelligent, honest and hard working are amongst the many complimentary words that could be used to describe Kenny McLean. Compare this to when the Jambos were whinging when the Pieman was going to have to sell the pink bus shelter to pay for the years of living beyond their means (not to many Jambos were complaining about the Pieman overspending when they bought the Scottish Cup in '98). George Foulkes was their main "man" in the campaign to save Tynie - A "man" with no dignity who happily bent over and took it from Vlad when he promised the riches of Champions League glory etc. Foulkes is a pathetic, crooked politician and convicted criminal. A slavering embarrassment of a human being who's credentials as a true football fan are fanciful at best given that he comes from ayrshire and has no real roots with Hearts as far as I know.

    So one difference is:

    Kenny Mclean v Fatty Foulkes

You could say the same about high profile former players from the respective clubs:

    Pat Stanton v Gary Mackay

Or the people who own us:

    Tom Farmer v Mad Vlad

Or people who have managed us:

    Franck Sauzee v Graham Rix

    Or our stadiums:

The soon to be best football stadium in Scotland v The Big Pink Pig Sty

I could go on all day with such examples but lets just say there isn't a day passes when I'm not thankful that I was born a Hibby!

Being mildly deluded I was under the impression that it was simply a matter if size.

They live in a bus shelter while we live in caravans

Most Hibs supporters don't have the word assistant as the first word in their job title.

Being cheap and a convicted sex offender is not considered an admirable quality in a Hibs manager.

We actually have a potential world cup star in our squad, Hertz are still waiting for the 2 they were promised.

Hibs gain planning permission for a new stand, go about their business quietly until the economic climate is right and then get on with it, Hertz make a song and dance at every opportunity but actually have no plans whatsoever to actually build their mega stand.

Any neutral can see that Hibernian FC is one of the best run clubs in the Britain, in fact, anywhere. It's keepers have laid down rock-solid foundations both financially and asset wise which will stand the club in good stead for years to come.
I have gained more satisfaction from watching my club grow into what it is now, potentially THE club in Scotland with everything in place to become a dominant 3rd force for years to come. I personally celebrate how far my club has come since those dark, grim days of Mercer. Everything is in place for my club to prosper further. Clinching 3rd spot is the absolute minimum I now accept. To hell with its poor history. Just because it failed in the past does not mean meek acceptance of an inevitable future of further failings. History changes and is not set in stone.
Hibernian FC has moved into the 21st century. My club has made a promising start to this century by winning a major trophy: 2007 should be the start of regularly clinching silverware and not some blip. I also see the bigger picture and I can see that my club is streets ahead of Hearts in terms of where it is, what it has built and where it is going. I let my clubs healthy position speak louder than anything I or any individual Hibby could spout at a baiting Jambo.

That statement gives some creedence to their argument that we are deluded.
