    Best/Worst goal celebrations

Worst I've seen has to be Kanu after his winning goal in the FA Cup Final. Should have been booked for it, it was that bad.

Scores the winning goal in the bloody FA Cup final for Portsmouth of all teams and does this: YouTube - FA Cup 2008 Cardiff City 0 -1 Portsmouth - Kanu.

If that was me I'd have ran round the goals, gesturing a GIRUY to the opposition fans before sprinting the length of the pitch, topless, sliding on my knees a couple of times in the process and then diving head first into my own supporters.

    What a fanny.

Elaborately rehearsed goal celebrations are ridiculous.

They're a blight on the game.

Players indulging in them should be punished ruthlessly and pitilessly.

Persistent offenders should be hounded out of the game.

A quiet "Well done" and (in exceptional circumstances, like a Cup Final or a League decider) a manly handshake is all that's required.

It's all the fault of the contemporary media, to my mind. You never heard John Snagge getting excited when he was commentating on the Boat Race.

I think if sully muntari done that now morinho would come on the pitch and join in.As for kanu i could just never insult him after the hat-rick at stanford bridge.

The best surely has to be the original 'rocking the baby' featuring Romario, Bebeto and Mazhino. It's crazy to think Romario and Bebeto hated each other with an absolute passion but created a world cup winning strike partnership.

Robbie Keane's is pathetic, especially when done in the SPL

dont think kanu's celebration is that bad in all honesty??

and as for pre-arranged celebrations the sauzee/paatelainen jig was one of our finest!!!

my favourite was the robbie fowler snorting coke down the touchline haha

showed a lot of balls to do that one like and was also funny

Can't remember what game or who it was but remember watching MOTD2 and they showed two blokes doing a dance in front of their supporters, thinking the ball had crossed the line - it hadn't and the game was still in play.

For me, the best goal celebration is when a player winds up the opposition fan. Hate it when its done to your team but when its not, its hilarious. Prime examples are

1:- Scott Brown vs Celtic, Parkhead, 2006. think we got beat 2-1 but Brown opened the scoring in about 8 mins and celebrated by just standing in front of the Celtic fans and puffing his chest out. The smellies were going mental.

2:- Emmanuel Adebayor, Man City vs Arsenal,2009. Running whole length of pitch to celebrate in front of the Arsenal fans was brilliant.

3:- Alen Orman vs Rangers, Ibrox, 2001. Trying to find the Hibs fans before legging it 90 yards to celebrate with us.

Also as much as he can be a frustrating player, some of Nani's backflips are awesome.

As for the worst. Anything by Steven Fletcher. Every celebration, clearly rehearsed in front of the mirror and quite cringe. David Brent would look cooler.

Have to agree that Robbie Keane should never have started his "granny somersault" and "man-in-tights Robin Hood" combo. It is surely the most underwhelming over-the-top celebration in football.

Roger Milla must be wiggling in his hypothetical grave.

Bradley Wright-Phillips 'Toy Soldier' for Plymouth last week.

p.s. the kid who's birth Bebeto was celebrating, is now a promising footballer.

What does Keane do these days - he's constantly kissing the inside of his wrist and then raising that same hand, fist clenched to the Smellies.

Is he just showing them one of best entry points to find a vein when they get their weekly £10 bag of smack or what??

Laurent Robert/Temuri Ketsbaia at Newcastle, where both inexplicably ended up wearing practically nowt but their underpants after scoring a goal were pretty far wrong.

I used to love on the - rare - occasions that Facundo Sava would score for Fulham a couple of seasons ago, he'd pull a mask out of his sock and put it on

Indeed it is Mr Bollah. And if you want a truly joyous collage from that world cup, featuring in particular the heroic feats of Paolo Rossi then try this:

Benji's celebrations I feel have always been very tasteful, quite often thanks Allah for allowing him to score, although when he scored against the Hearts for his first hibs goal was a good one, never seen Malkowski make a stop like that one before, and never again after that. Deeko seems to either kiss the badge or jumps and pumps his fist up in the air. Robbie Keane's celebration is poor and gets boring after a while.

Thanks for that The first world cup I watched throughout on TV. Rossi's first against Brazil in that amazing game is the most underrated goal ever IMO. The perfect team goal; interception on their own bye-line, gradual build up, intelligent passing, whole team involved, great cross, perfect finish. just as good as the Jairzihno goal in 1970.

I liked the Jimmy Bullard one when he got all his team mates in a circle around him and started pointing at each one - taking the piss out of Phil Brown for that time he kept them all on the pitch at half time
