Pompey deducted nine points by EPL for going into administration. Relegation a certainty now, I would think.
A sad tale. Used to go to Fratton Park in the seventies, and a great bunch of fans, who created a real atmosphere. Feel sorry for them rather than the dodgy dudes in the boardroom.

from the TV reports yesterday as I understand it the HMRC pulled back from a winding up order. Does this mean they are waiving the right to demand a full payout of monies due?
If so looks like setting a bad precedent...
Didn't Italian clubs use to be the richest in Europe? They then blew it maybe there's just a corrupting influence that accompanies the green stuff.

Why deduct points of teams when they enter administration?
It just makes matters worse for them.

IMO Football Associations should be doing more to stop teams getting to this stage in the first place.
