    Post split games

Looking at the league, there is now a big gap between Hertz in 6th and Sheep and St. J's in 7th and 8th. On the basis the top six stays the same...

Hibs will have played 17h 16a after 33 games. They would be "due" to play Rangers, Motherwell and Hearts at home after the split, which would give 20h 18a. Eh-eh as Family Fortunes say. Which means that Hibs will have to play one of those three away for a third time. On the basis of what the SPL have said in the past (ie no third derby match at one ground or the other), it won't be Hearts.

I have a feeling it will be Rangers because a) the league is out of hand; b) Hibs played them three times at home last season and c) Hibs are more directly competing with Motherwell for position. Playing Motherwell would also cause less of a problem in terms of the reduced capacity at ER than playing the Huns again.

nb the imbalance is caused by Motherwell being in the top six instead of Aberdeen.
