Has this been confirmed as I'd be surprised that serious foul play carries a 3 match ban as Miller's points threshold for this season and his 2 previous (obviously none) would be non existent


Edit- you get 12 points for serious foul play and automatically miss the next game, anyone getting more that 18 points in a season will get further games.

That being the case he will be on 21 points (12 points for SFP and 3x3 points for the cautions) this should result in an automatic 1 game ban plus another for going over the 18 point threshold.

Saying all that he might still miss the derby as the 2nd part of the suspension kicks in 14 days after the offence, therefore he will the St Johnstone game for definite and either the home game V Killie or the Hearts game..

Any period of suspension incurred by a player as a result of his having accumulated 18 or more penalty points, shall commence on the 14th day following the date of the offence which resulted in the incurring of the suspension. The suspension shall apply until such time as the requisite number of matches have been completed by his club in the competition in which the suspension was incurred, in accordance with the provisions of Paragraph 3.8.

Thank f..k for that, it would be brutal going into another derby this season with at least one key player being out. The yams have enjoyed massive luck in terms of the hibs side they've had to face in the last few games.

Good point, but if Hibs can make a move quickly and appeal tomorrow then i'm sure they would have an answer as to whether it is accepted or rejected by the end of the week.

To answer another question, it wouldn't matter if he had 3 two point cautions ... he'd STILL have reached the threshold of 18 pointsd for a suspension under the totting up process.
Each bookable offence carries a points tarrif. Most are 3 point offences with a couple of 2 pointers and an occasional 1 point.

No the appeal would be heard prior to the St Johnstone game. It requires the ref to admit to a mistake which is unlikely.
