Having at last got really good keepers on board after Mowbray and Collins failed to solve that problem, I was wondering about our inability to get the defence right.
Four of our recent Managers McLeish / Sauzee / Mowbray and now Yogi were all great defenders and yet the part of the team you think they would get right has been a real problem for us for some time.
On paper the back four looks good but something is clearly missing in terms of organisation. Good teams defend from the front therefore can we really afford to have Deeks, Zouma and Benji in the team at the same time?
When was the last time our success was built around a good defence or will that never be our way?

Year-on-year, our defensive record was better than our league position suggested. It didn't necessarily feel like it at the time admittedly. Arguably it was the defending that dragged us up into the top-half however.
Hogg and Jones combined well in the centre and Maka, for all his critics, had great clean-sheet records. The resultant points saved, or points denied to our opponents were what made the difference pre-split in the last few seasons. There's only one thing better than a Hibs calendar and that's two Hibs calendars
