Lucas Neill went there over Liverpool for cash, so he was probably on a tidy sum.

If its for van nistelrooy, I would assume he will be on 18month contract or so, so 100k over 18months would work out about £7million. and about £2.5million until the end of the season. If he comes in, and scores enough goals to keep them up, its money well spent.
Its either that or spend £10million + wages on a striker.
could work out a great piece of short term business

Always had a soft spot for WHUFC after Bobby Moore, Martin Peters, and the rest of those wonderful players from the 60's 70's
And for that reason I'm..IN.
Could work out to be the cheap option over the season...

Keiran Dyer is on 80k a week, he has hardly played. What a waste of cash. Scott Parker is on 70k plus. If they get relegated, they are in deep do do.

So David Gold was criticising the previous previous board for going overboard and spending way beyond their means. And now David Sullivan is coming out publicly and saying he's offered £100k/week? Hmm

the only way,it seems,to call a halt to this fitba' madness is for clubs like the Hammers to go to the wall.how can these wages for players be justified,to the common man?

If they get relegated again, West Ham are ****ed.
If spending £2.5m now guarantees survival, they'd do it. With no fit strikers at the moment, I reckon Van Nistlerooy could be a smart signing for them.
Of course it's insane money, but the whole Premiership is madness.

Van Nistelrooy is finished. His best days are now behind him. A bit crazy for West Ham to offer him £100k/week.

He'll only be 34 later this year and I think his goalscoring record, throughout his career, speaks for itself.

Ljungberg was on 80K a week plus bonuses... he was pushed out of arsenal and the bloody bald idiot offered freddie double his wages!
Dyer is another on 80K plus a week with scott parker. Upson and green are on huge wages aswell.
Absolutely mental.
With the Ashton injury, he made a recovery from the injury sustained on england duty and played alot of games for the Irons and so the FA theoretically owe WH nowt.

When will they learn? I'll give West Ham 2 years before they are facing a winding up order

Even an 18 month contract would only be 7.5million. Well worth it IMO if it keeps them in the prem.
