I think he was injured and not included in the squad but joined up with them anyway.

Decent attempt from Bamba with a ferocious leap above the defenders with a header going over the bar.

I really hope we wait until after the world cup to sell Bamba because we should get a very good fee.

I wonder if we could perhaps offer him an 18 month deal extension with a bumper sign on fee, and promise to sell in the summer for a much larger fee...
Like Fletcher did, obviously Fletch felt as though he owed the club, perhaps where Bamba does not, but he did get his first caps and real recognition whilst here, and his emotions at Pittodrie show he has some feeling for the support and club.

He's a fan favourite and has clicked with the supporters. The one thing I'll always thank Mixu for as a manager was his signing's.
Decent 1st half from bth sides, but I don't think I can take the drones of the horns etc no more...
Time for some Dakar. Beats listening to HT reports from crappy Pudits.

Looks as if he was the only guy playing apart for the Germans....
Time to dig in now.
Nice comment from the prat from the Beeb - "Most of the crowd seem to be supporting the Ivory Coast. Must be the DROGBA effect...."
Naw, mate - it's the intense personal magnetism of Big Sol Bamba....
2-0 Ivory Coast!!!!!!!!!!!!!
