In the 80's, the Bertie Auld team. St. Mirren, maybe? The team lined up like a rugby team, with most of them on the left wing on the centre line.

Took the kick off, the lot on the left wing tanked down the line, the ball was played out to them. Cross went back in, and we scored from it. Other team were looking around totally bemused.

Jimmy's goal was about 25 seconds in but was special because it was Aberdeen's ko. Think it was actually 1972, year we appeared in 3 finals! The fastest I can remember was also in 1972 the week after we won League Cup. We played Ayr at ER, the Ayr team lined up to clap us on the park, Ally MacLeod was manager. 11 seconds after ko Cropley scored. We were 5-0 up at h/t & won 8-1!
Incidentally, before yesterday, when did we last shoot down hill in first half? It seems almost a gentleman's agreement now that we'll always kick uphill first.
