I think before the last WC that the commentator, IIRC, said that only dicks hit penalties right down the middle and Zidane wouldn't do that. And then Zidane took the penalty in the final...

The whole point of doing a chip penalty is that you run up to it at the speed/body shape as if you were planning to leather it in the hope that this fakes the goalie out before you even chip the ball.
Ribery just dawdled up to the ball as if he was pissing about in the park/on the beach. All that was missing was a mojito with a wee pink umbrella and for him to be smoking a bit fat Cuban
