Wigan players to personally refund fans! (merged)

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/foot...ic/8374893.stm

Mmm - I wonder if it's worth dropping Rod a wee note?!

After many many years of supporting the Hibees and witnessed countless dismal performances, I reckon I would be worth a few bob if backdated claims are allowed.

    That would bust the club!

There were enough dodgy performances under Mixu before we even start to get around to Blobby.

I also just heard this on the radio. lol!

In some aspects, i do agree with it, as they are a premiership team, and no premiership team should leak 9 goals. Nevermind 8 in one half.

There defence deserve to lose every penny they were paid, as they actually gave up. It was a joke.

Is interesting. Not many clubs would come up with that solution.

I don't think somehow there will be an advert on the tv in the not soo distant future stating..

"Have you been ripped of at the footy lately? that wasn't your fault?"

Well in this respect, will Spurs have a collection outside the next home game for a Defoe fund?

Personaly I think its a grat gesture by the players, but i don't think should become the norm, as they bought a ticket for the match, which they got to see.

So whats the amount of goals conceded before fans get a refund? Could it be that Rangers would be in even more debt

if i was a latics fan i wouldnt want the money, i would want it paid in sweat (well aware that sounds strange). rather than paying their way ou a sticky result, how about putting in a performance in your next game that shows your supporters you care?

Apparently 30,000 Wigan fans live in North London and managed to find themselves in the wrong stand on Sunday.

9 goals and a refund from the opposition - if Carling did football tickets.

Hence only refunding fans who bought the tickets at Wigan's ground...

    They thought of that

Still, a gesture to be applauded nonetheless.
