If we could get a Voltz level signing we could be looking pretty impressive indeed.

People seem to think that McCann lacks an attacking edge, but I think they forget that he was been dogged by niggling injuries, even before his long lay off. He scored a cracker against Rangers, and of course, he is being compared to the ultra attacking - sometimes suicidally so - Whittaker. He also never had the luxury of having McBride to cover for him, whereas Whittaker had Boozy, Thomson and Brown.
He'll need a bit of patience if we are to get anything out of him.

Suprised that Sean Welsh hasn't been given a mention for the RB slot. Despite being more recognised as a midfielder, by all accounts he is a versatile player and would be more suited to the position than Wotherspoon. Never seen him play though so am just going by others accounts. Everyone else has had a shot playing there so why not?!

McCormack anyone? Thought the lad has done quite well there. Far better there that Wotherspoon who imo is currently the weakest part of our defence. The lads clearly not a defender never mind a right back. Midfield is his best position.

Still think we need experience at right and a left back hopefully Hughes will get some dosh in January. Would prefer 2 experienced full backs on either flank and have McCormack Hanlon and possibly Wotherspoon shadow them.

Don't see Wotherspoon has a right back, much rather see him in midfield. Ideally a fully fit McCann would do for me, if not get someone else in who is good going forward and defending.

I haven't seen a lot of McCormack lately but if last seasons 1-0 win away at Hamilton was anything to go by he isn't ready yet and would weaken our side IMO at this point.

i would have asked maurice ross to come till january, expeirenced player who probarlly improved abroad.
if he was not up to scratch come january, well its a few months wages wasted then so be it.
if not and he plays well we could have got him in for longer, and used mcann and the lad weatherspoon as back up.

I'd say probably yes and if McCann is ready for action then I'd like to see him get the nod. It's his specialist position and having just got back from a lengthy lay off, this is probably a make or break season for him as far as his career at Hibs is concerned so I'd like to see him show what he can do.
