For all those who are interested a team of former Hibee’s will be playing a select side in a benefit game for Dunbar United’s Adam Cheetham.
Managed by Keith Wright players will include Darren Jackson, Paul Kane, Mickey Weir, Gordon Hunter, Graham Harvey, Neil Orr amongst others. The game will take place at New Countess Park, Hallhill, Dunbar with a 7.15pm kick off. Sorry should've stated its a week today Friday 2nd October 2009.
Adam’s team will be made up of his friends, family and former team mates(including big Hibee Kevin Haynes).
A bit of background information as to why this game is being played:
Adam has played with Dunbar United for the last 10 years and has been a loyal and valued member of our team. Adam (27) was diagnosed with skin cancer a couple of years ago but we were very relieved when in April he was given the all clear. Unfortunately in June he was given the devastating news that the cancer had returned to other sites on his body and at the moment he is undergoing chemo.
(taken from Dunbar Website).
Admission will be £4 and £2

Big Kev's ace.... when he was at Dunbar , there were rumours about a Hearts scout being down to watch him... within 20 minutes of the game started, walloped a boy that was niggling his ankles , got sent off... top came off big Hibs tatoo on show..... get in.... lol

Cheethams Champs is made up of some of Adam's ex team mates, friends and family and includes Kevin Haynes, Ryan Grant,Gary Peters, Darren Hainey, Jamie Peters, Paul Hampshire who is coming up from Devon and his brother Steven Hampshire. Manager of the select team will be John Baptie and a programme is available inside the ground with some pen-pics of all the players and a good bit about Adam's career at Dunbar.

Brilliant turn out tonight from the public and from a very strong ex-Hibs side.
There was only about 5 folk missing from a full team I used to watch week in week out...
I was there in the treatment room when Adam signed for Dunbar Utd, and he deserves these nods of approval. Well done to him.
Any way , great night for Adam. Here's 3 pics from the still pics...

Dunbar 5-4 , almost every goal a peach.
Dont ask me the scorers though.... :)
Great Hibs turn out... a good tream including Mickey Weir , Dazza , Ted , Geebsy, Calumn Milne, Kano... loads more.
Keith was very excited about our up and coming Setting Sons gigs he said lol, said teh bass player looked fit :)

I thought it ended up 5-4 to the Hibs Legends.
Doesn't matter though as it was a good game with some cracking goals from both teams
