Scottish Referees

Watching the highlights last night, it struck me that Scottish referees are probably a lot better now than they were 30 years ago. I think blanket TV coverage has made them a lot more shy about blatantly favouring the Old Firm.

i agree...i think they've got even better in the last few season.
Look at the mcgeady diving scandal at ER. i doubt he'd have been given a 2nd yellow had that happened a few seasons ago.

i was listening to the rangers motherwell game on the radio on saturday and the commentators/pundits were all split on whether it was a penalty or not.

when i saw it in the highlights last night i think the ref got it spot on.
