    Champions league draw

    How does the co-efficent work?. I notice Real Madrid are in pot 2 and Sevilla are in pot 1, so it looks very likely that an English team will get Real Madrid. Does it go on success over the last few years, if thats the case how do Chelsea have more co-efficent points than Man Utd who have been winners and runners up in the last 2 years.

    It does seem like a stupid system, why on earth are AC Milan in Pot 1 when Inter who have been champions for the last 4 seasons are in Pot 2

    And Rangers are in Pot 2 as well. I wonder who everyone will have their fingers crossed for Inter, Real Madrid or Rangers.

    Just heard on SSN that the final will be at the Bernabau aswell on a Saturday. I would be great to see Barca win the trophy at the bernabau.

    i know its based over results and standings over the last 5 years. similarly to the National Standings.
    e.g.
    you score more points for winning against a team that are so many positions ahead of you,
    Average goal difference,
    goals scored,
    wins/draws
    final standings etc...

    You pick up points (dont know how many etc) for playing in certain rounds, getting certain results, and scoring certain amount of goals against certain teams.

    by that i mean if hibs were to draw or beat Real Madrid in the Champs league we would probably get a huge amount more points than say, Barca or Man Utd would.

    Inter have had some really poor runs in Europe the last few years, whereas AC Milan were winners and finalists for a few years (remember liverpool games)

    Rangers are in pot two because of their UEFA cup run the other season.

    Real Madrid have been stuck in Pot 2, obviously the plan is for them to be drawn in the same group as either AC Milan or Man Utd so that either Kaka or Ronaldo will get an extremely hard time!
