Did anyone think the pitch looked pretty crap for the first game of the season.
it looked like there was alot of sand on it.

I think Yogi mentioned this in the post mach interview on the bbc - he said something about the grass being slightly too long? Can't be bothered to listen again to check!

Given the rain overnight and this morning I was amazed to see the sprinklers on before the game and at half time. What is that all about?

There was a big chunk taken out in the east/south corner which Gallacher kindly replaced at the end of the first half.
I agree with the sprinkler idea tho, wet grass makes passing a lot easier ive always felt

Bowling green, do we actually think that the groundstaff would allow it to grow long in direct contrast to the managers preference?
