I think we'd be asking a bit too much from McCann to start this game at this stage of his comeback. St Mirren won't be taking any prisoners and there's no need to shove him back in the firing line yet with DVZ available for selection.
A win in the first game is always a major boost and therefore you cannot gamble with such fitness levels and possibly waste substitutions.

I'd go with this, except I agree with Toaods that it would be a couple fo games too soon for McCann. I'd play DVZ at RB with Kevin on the bench.
My subs would be Stack, McCann, Thicot, Stevenson, Galbraith, JJ, and Byrne.
Try to get a grip of the game from the start, then push on from there.

God no. Thinking about real football can't come quick enough after the embarrassing joke of the bad pantomime team of yesterday.
I think we'll see, if there are no late signings:
Maka
DVZ Hogg Bamba Murray
Cregg McBride Zomma Rankin
Nish Riordan
I'd personally go for:
Stack (nothing against Maka, just want to see him)
McCann Hogg Murray/McCormack Hanlon
Cregg Bamba Zoomer Galbraith
JJ/Byrne Riordan

dont know why we dont play it.... would be better than all this 4-1-4-1 or 4-2-3-1 nonsense.

Especially if those who want to bet against you have Ian Murray in their line up.

Most of the selections above are pretty close to each other with the main debate being over DVZ or McCann.
My tuppence worth is the team will be
Maka
DVZ
Hanlon or Stevenson
Hogg
Bamba
Zouma
Rankin
Cregg
McBride
Nish
Riordan
Think back to last season. Everybody would have been miles out as nobody was on the same wavelength as Mixu when it came to team selection
