All the Mixu/hoofball stuff got me thinking so I guess below would be pretty accurate if we ever have the discussion but I guess applies to every thread
1 to change the light bulb and to post that the light bulb has been changed
14 to share similar experiences of changing light bulbs and how the light bulb could have been changed differently
7 to caution about the dangers of changing light bulbs
1 to move it to the Lighting section
2 to argue then move it to the Electricals section
7 to point out spelling/grammar errors in posts about changing light bulbs
5 to flame the spell checkers
3 to correct spelling/grammar flames
6 to argue over whether it's "lightbulb" or "light bulb" ... another 6 to condemn those 6 as stupid
2 industry professionals to inform the group that the proper term is "lamp"
15 know-it-alls who claim they were in the industry, and that "light bulb" is perfectly correct
19 to post that this forum is not about light bulbs and to please take this discussion to a lightbulb forum
11 to defend the posting to this forum saying that we all use light bulbs and therefore the posts are relevant to this forum
36 to debate which method of changing light bulbs is superior, where to buy the best light bulbs, what brand of light bulbs work best for this technique and what brands are faulty
7 to post URL's where one can see examples of different light bulbs
4 to post that the URL's were posted incorrectly and then post the corrected URL's
3 to post about links they found from the URL's that are relevant to this group which makes light bulbs relevant to this group
13 to link all posts to date, quote them in their entirety including all headers and signatures, and add "Me too"
5 to post to the group that they will no longer post because they cannot handle the light bulb controversy
4 to say "didn't we go through this already a short time ago?"
13 to say "do a Google search on light bulbs before posting questions about light bulbs"
1 forum lurker to respond to the original post 6 months from now and start it all over again.

97 to blame Mixu for the bulb needing to be changed
1 to not see the bulb needs to be changed (2 if you include RP)
2 to deny they have hunnish bulb changing tendencies
1 to ask innocently if the light bulb box really needed to have an irish tricolour on it?
-

I am thinking that if the distance between the floor and the ceiling is seven feet or more and no one has a step-ladder, Mixu will decide that the player best suited to the light-bulb changer postion would be Andy McNeil or Lewis Stevenson.

1 to suggest that changing a lightbulb is the first good use of Steven Pinau...
7 to suggest that it is a waste of Pinau's talents and they should have got (delete as per your own belief system) Thicot/Keenan/Chisholm to do it and to turn the light off on their way out the door...
1 to suggest that Steve Fulton's head looks like a lghtbulb
All jambo's to ask what a lightbulb is as they are used to being kept in the dark by their club...

Can't believe no-one has pointed out yet that there would [obviously] be something in the region of 65 posters complaining about how the old lightbulb was better than the new lightbulb and that they didn't really want it changed in the first place and that the rest of us will end up regretting the decision and that the old lightbulb will shine even more brightly elsewhere...!

The correct type of lighbulb debate....

Oh alright then.
Several higher minded posters to elevate the debate by pointing out that it isnt the lightbulb we should be concerned about but the quality of the electricity being used to power it.
Some of us to point out that our lightbulb is the same old lightbulb - never less than 60 watt, never more than 100 watt. What we should take comfort from is the fact that the Lithuanian lightbulb on the other side of town isn't going to be replaced when it eventually runs out because they don't have the money to buy a new one and anyway the aluminium plant they use to make the filaments in their lightbulbs is going to close down.
Several newbies to intervene with a single repeating question once this thread is several thousand posts old asking "Does anyone know what this thread is about?"
One poster whose contribution simply reads 'admin deleted'.
A series of poster exchanges about why chanting at the light bulb that its "just a fat, bright Eddie Murphy" is or is not racist.
And of course several attempts at the definitive and conclusive thread-ending contribution on the lightbulb culminating with 'end of', but which never ever is.

LHWM to declare what the omens are for changing a light bulb on a particular day of the week and for ease of reading each day will be signified by a different colour. Sorry LHWM
62 Jambos will infiltrate our security to point out that we only have "wee" light bulbs and they have the mega 400,000 watt variety sold worldwide.

Surely at least one poster would argue that if it hadn't been for Derek Riordan we would have been relegated to simple light switch turning on and off duties?
