I've never been to Cheltenham before but have been to the Derby at Epsom, which I would imagine would be on a similar scale. With that being the case, my thoughts on Epsom.
1) Nightmare to get accomodation, had to stay about 20 miles from the course.
2) Far too busy - Had to wait on average around 30 mins to get a drink.
3) Far too expensive - Think it was £36 a ticket and over £4 for a pint in a plastic cup.
4) The racing was good!
5) If you get bored with the racing there is always the top totty to have a look at.
I think you would have to book well in advance to get decent accomodation although even booking now for next year might be a struggle.
Although they are a lot of negatives to these big race meetings, it's still a decent experience.
Don't know if that helped at all!

I lumped on Kauto Star when it was 7/4 as I thought that was the best price I'd get it at.
Also stuck a cheeky tenner on Star de Mohaison at 33s.

I went for the 3 days the year that Imperial Call won The Gold Cup, we stayed in Gloucester and got a bus through each day.
That was the last year before they started limiting the numbers, so, I'm assuming it'll not be quite as mobbed as it was then.
I'd recommend it to anyone with the slightest interest in the gee gees, but, its still not as good as York for The Ebor meeting in August!

Always exciting to watch but trying to get winners at it is a bit of a joke IMO.

If you pick some of the Nicholls horses plus a selected few Irish, then cut that down after seeing what the "experts" on here are on, then you'll be in with a shout

Good old cheltenham is back, one of the top sporting occasions on the calendar. Not many bankers this week but reckon Noland in the arkle at 7/4 is there for a profit. Champion hurdle has a competitive feel to it. Sizing europe will go off favourite but im a huge Katchit fan and just never bet against it at cheltenham, currently 8/1. Havent looked too closely at the other big races, well not enough to stick my neck out and pick winners just yet. Good luck and enjoy

Unlucky with Barbers shop too apparently, beaten by a neck and I wasnt on it each way.
Tomorrow I only have two bets....
13.05 - Aigle D'or (Won course and distance at grade below, won on the same going and has Tony McCoy up top. Also waiting on this won to get 2 out of 3 in a Trixie as Albertas Run came in today, Tarimbleu let me down.)
15.30 - Denman (Ground is going right for him and just have a gut feeling that he will win)
Cant wait for the Gold Cup tomorrow should be a great race

One winner and a couple of places. All to play for on the last day.
Going for -
12.30 - Theatre Girl
13.05 - Group Captain
13.40 - Clanazar
14.15 - Celetrial Halo
14.50 - Carruthers
15.30 - Not betting on Gold Cup! Bottling it!
16.05 - Agus A Vic
16.40 - My Petra
5.20 - Pigeon Island
So far 4 winners out of 13 and a couple of places. Some nice prices, got a feeling (I hope!) that those at the short end of the market will do the deed tomorrow.
Good luck!
