Thanks GD.
So in a word and as per the statement he wasn’t an employee of Barnsley when they first consulted him?? I thought they had lawyers review all the necessary documentation??
So it looks like, well from this new statement that no one has contacted Barnsley direct to confirm the current status of their new man??

I would suggest you are correct..... he wasn’t sacked but was suspended pending the clubs investigation into him speaking with another club without their (Barnsley’s) permission!
Mind you the way Budge and Co are talking they are in the right so Barnsley’s chairman must be totally wrong!

Sounds like Stendel has told Hearts what the situation is........and until today nobody knew he was under investigation by Barnsley.
If....and its a big if......he was still under contract with Barnsley, and being paid by them, then Stendel will probably be sued.
Does that mean Hearts are financially disadvantaged? I dont know, lets hope so :greengrin
the jambos are never wrong tho that's the problem embarrassment from top to bottom if the boot was on the other foot and someone came in for Levein who is still an employee I bet budge would seek compensation clowns the lot of them
Hearts are ameturish at best in everything they do
I see in the EEN that one of them is welcoming their new "German overlord".
Words fail me.
It does indeed! If he was on ‘gardening leave’ as Barnsley have suggested and he was indeed under investigation then they have tapped up a manager without the permission of his employer.
Mind you this is all supposition but if Budge and co had done their ‘due diligence’ then surely this would have been highlighted during this process!

If you wanted to write a sitcom about a bunch of pompous prats who run a parochial, tinpot football club reality is way ahead you.
If it turns out he is still contracted to Barnsley after all that "sound" legal advice I will laugh my **** off.

So, either:
A) Hearts have appointed a manager under employment elsewhere and are away to have to pay Barnsley a lot of money
B) Hearts have unknowingly appointed a manager under employment of another club, he’s a troublemaker and away to be potentially quite distracted
Or
C) Hearts have taken several weeks to appoint an unemployed manager for a hefty wage despite him winning only one of his last ten.
I don’t know which one is most hilarious and inept.
I have to be honest, I don't think Barnsley are looking too good in their side of this.
They quite clearly have sacked the guy, for whatever reason, and I don't understand why they don't just let him go and let somebody else pay his wages.
No chance of this going wrong at all.
Mrs doctor Budge will have used all the businessy type knowledge stuff we keep hearing about in exactly the same way that's got them to where they are in the league, and ensured trouble free delivery of the megastand on time and on budget with absolutely no problems at all.

Her management of all the extra revenue has been superb from a Hibs supporters point of view.
In football club management terms she's a fish with a bicycle and it's a joy to watch what's happening to their cash.
Keep up the good work.

I think this shows the appointment was hurriedly announced due to another dismal performance and was made in haste albeit having dragged it on for weeks anyway.
Choice was obviously face the hordes down and sort out this amicably or take the chance on compo to get him in as quick as possible. Hopefully comes back to bite them either financially or that he turns out to be as duplicitous as Barnsley suggest!

You don’t know who to believe and it’s hard to make sense of all the cross fire, but, and I promise I will wash out my mouth with carbolic soap, I think any legal outcome will favour the Jambos. Barnsley, in their statement, say they sacked him and the Jambos employed him on the basis he had been sacked. Barnsley’s complaints about Stendel talking to another club is irrelevant and it seems to me that this is a bit of a smokescreen to blacken his character. Hope I’m way off beam with this tho’. :greengrin
I wonder if gary cock has been in to see him yet? 🤔
