Let’s make sure RP knows he has the whole of the Hibs family behind him. The guy has taken an absolute slating from Slippy G and the Press, so let’s sing his name and give him a boost.

Poor post really? I think we should just boo him then, a Hibs fan wanting to show one of our players some support how is that poor? The reaction and aftermath of the red card has been somewhat embarrassing from some quarters and the guys been slaughtered and pretty much attacked from a number of people who should know better.
Agree we should show our support for him after the unwanted witch hunt.Perhaps we should think of something for when the mob from Govan appear.
The ridiculous reactions on here within various threads lately tends to suggest that people have forgotten what certain words actually mean.
Supporting a Hibs player = poor. Baffling.
Poor post ? really ?
For what it's worth I do think Ryan needs to stay on his feet more, especially when playing against THEM, because refs are just looking for an excuse. That doesn't mean that we shouldn't give him our vocal support, let him know it's "us and him against the world" and make him feel loved. If I had received the level of abuse and attention in the press that he has, I wouldn't have slept for a week..he needs to know we are on his side and backing him.
There seems to be an increasing level of people who follow Hibs as "demanding customers" rather than "supporters"
You'd have a better case for saying that poor refereeing of Lundstrom's lunge on Doig cost us.
As I've explained elsewhere, Porteous had to ensure that he got to the ball ahead of Aribo because there was no-one behind him. And Porteous did just that long before Aribo tripped over him.
No I’m saying the manager and the players on the park had 45mins to come up with something to win that game. You face set backs in games, still got to win them or get a draw at least from a winning position with 45 to go. Rangers were pretty toothless in attack and shaky at the back that day.

They were. Which makes it all the more disappointing that we went down to 10 because I think we were pretty much cruising at that point and probably would've went on to score again.
RP's uneccesary recklessness in the tackle ultimately cost us that game, whether you think it deserved a red or not. Gave the ref a decision to make instead of winning the ball easily on his feet. Hopefully he can learn from it.
Whether or not you think Ryan screwed up it's for the manager and coaches to sort him out - either with a kick up the backside or an arm around the shoulder. Maybe even a bit of both.
I'm firmly of the opinion though that supporters should support regardless, especially if you want to see the best from our players.
Every day is a school day and all that but should Ryan not be learning himself by now?
Potential to be a very good player and have a chance of making it to a decent level, but he has to shoulder some responsibility. He has to start learning that in today's game, you cannot go crashing in to challenges.
I think he has a great chance to make it in the game.
Agreed however the manager did say after the game that Ryan gave the referee a decision to make? Therefore not sure everyone at the club did not think it was a sending off.
Also do we know the basis of the appeal?
Did we appeal on the grounds that it was not a reckless challenge or on the grounds that Lundstrom made a similar challenge but did not get red carded?
Would have been good for us to know the appeal basis (apologies if this has been made public by the club).
I'm still of the opinion that Ryan shouldn't have made that tackle but he'll get my full support. Mistakes happen in the heat of the moment. On another day it wouldn't have been a red card, that's football, he'll move on and so should we. He's probably had his best season so far. Tremendous player.
Not many to be fair. Remember being one myself.
However, he is getting guidance every day. It's not like someone at the club will wake up today and say, oh I better give Ryan some advice! He is getting it drummed in to him everyday at training, probably since he was a wee laddie. He has to learn.
As Pat Stanton used to say to me, you are all the man you are ever going to be at 16/17. If you don't learn by then, you'll never learn.
