How on earth did he manage that? Amazing!
Possibly slightly less amazing but does get him out ...

Just bought tickets for that new 100 ball format in July.
See what that is about. Headingley here I come.
In the gold seats too so living it posh for a day. 2 games too. Decent value at £32.00.
England's covid reserves are absolutely flying at the moment, Pakistan 26-4!
Pakistan making a bit of a recovery, 71-4 now.
England well on top again 101-7.
141 All Out.
England win by 9 wkts.
England 21/2, Salt has got all the runs so far. Malan and Crawley both out for a duck.
The bowlers are certainly having fun at Lords today.
I think the new lads have taken their opportunity magnificently. Been a great performance, in both games to date.
Apart from one day County finals Im not sure Ive seen Lords this drunk. Its like they have hired the Oval crowd. Bit footy related obviously.
Quite magnificent performance from England to take the series 3-0 v Pakistan.
Just finished watching the highlights of last night's T20 game between England & Pakistan, England won by 3 wickets to clinch an entertaining series 2-1.
I couldn’t see the point of The Hundred when we have T20 but after watching the women’s first match tonight it may well be a winner. Loved it.
Yep great first game. I'm off to headlingley for a game soon.
Still not 100% convinced it's needed but always best to take in a live game and see.
Yorkshire win. Best 20/20 game ever tonight.
Best last over too.
Unbelievable entertainment. Get in and now at finals day.
I see in a recent 20/20 there was a Salt c (or stumped) Pepper.
Only Cricket can do that.
Abysmal batting display once again in this t20 series, England opening batsmen have been particularly poor in this series so far.
Who's winning 20/20 finals day tomorrow?
Yorkshire for me.
Decent start for Yorkshire.
66-1 after 6 overs.
180-4 after 18
Yorkshire bowled poor. Embrassing.
Hope Lancashire get hammered in the final.
No point hammering anyone at finals day if you don't get the job done 😁😉
Anyone see the best ****housery i've ever seen in the womens cricket, bowler walks up to bowl and stops while the batswomen sets off, bowler does not release the ball and just turns and knocks the stumps off. :greengrin
New rule change apparently. :faf:
Always been a rule G as far as I know. It could be argued it's against the spirit of the game but she hasn't done anything wrong. I'm sure that it happened in a England mens Test match some years ago.
Happened to me when I played.
The bowler should run up in the normal way, like a penalty kick, no stuttering or whatever and if the non striking batter is out their crease when the bowler passes the wicket they can take the bails off, with the ball, and the batter is out. Before this however if the bowler thinks the batsman is taking advantage then its the done thing for the bowler, through the umpire, to warn the batter that he will take the bails off the next time it happens. I had no such warnings.
I'll maintain to this day I was in my crease. The idiot umpire gave out and obviously I had no option but to walk. I was ragin. All hell broke loose and I had got as far as the pavilion, launched my bat at the door and was almost in the shower when their captain came in and told me the decision had been reversed. I don't think the clubs spoke much to each other for some considerable time after that and there was no customary pub afterwards!
Funnily enough the bowler that day was Indian.
I have no issue with it and the amount of whining by England and commentators is over the top. The ridiculous line that the batter isnt trying to gain an advantage is nonsense - of course they are, otherwise why would they be yards down the pitch before the ball is bowled?
Forget the rubbish about giving a warning. Just stay th right side of the line and get on with it.
Pakistan v England T20 series has been fantastic. Great to see top level cricket in Pakistan. 3-3 decider on Sunday
I'v been meaning to post about this series. What a fantastic appetite-whetter for the T20 World Cup!
Some great games so far and an absolute stick-on must-see decider to come.
I've been trying to lay off the superlatives to describe Babar over the last couple of years but what a fantastic player he is. A good Pakistani team are one of my favourite things in cricket and he is very much the leader for them across the formats.
A bit of an anti climax the decider. England just blew them away, Pakistan had one of their off days! Been a a great and very entertaining series.!
Just watched the final game this morning, quite an emphatic victory to clinch the series.
Scotland beat West Indies at T20 World Cup. Absolutely delighted to see Scotland compete at this level. Sad to see whatbthe West Indies have become tho. Having grown up with them being the team who beat everyone it is amazing to see how far they have tumbled. Anyway, we'll done Scotland. A real chance to qualify from the group now
Brilliant result - and as you say, catches win matches.
A bit of a quandary though now - I can see us winning the group or coming third and not qualifying. What I really need is a 2nd place in the group so we then play England at the MCG and Australia at the Gabba.
Hopefully they can back it up with a victory over Ireland
Disappointing final few overs after a decent batting performance and first few overs bowling. Ireland win with 1 over remaining.
Disappointing stuff.
Poor result for England v Ireland, 5 run defeat on DLS method, well deserved for Ireland though. Massive match for England v Australia tomorrow morning.
England's tournament hopes being marred by the weather, today's game v Australia washed out.
Good win for England v New Zealand this morning, keeps them in the hunt for a place in the next round.
England through to the Semis, made it a lot tougher for themselves than it should have been.
India set England a target of 169, this could be fun to watch. Pakistan still favourites for the tournament for me though no matter who wins this one.
England batsmen off to a flier in the power play 63 without loss after 6 overs.
50 off 28 for Hales!
Eng 84/0 after 8.
Cruising - he said aware he's tempting fate big time. :greengrin
They are making this look so easy.
Incredible.
Outstanding from Butler , Hales and Rashid today. That’s a sore one for India.
A quite magnificent performance, won by 10 wickets with 4 overs remaining.
Sky are allowing Channel 4 to show the final live on Sunday, nice wee bonus for people.
Looking like poor weather for the final which is frustrating.
Here we go, the final. This should be a cracker, both teams in great form. I’m tilting towards Pakistan so I have probably just made England favourites now. :greengrin
Rizwan out, Curran bowling well.
And Haris now in, he will be fearless.
Great first ball from Rashid to send Haris packing. A key moment.
Rashid again. Delighted for him.
England should win from here but you never know in sport.
Afridi. That was a superb ball. Game on. :greengrin
Butler in some form with the bat. If they don't get him soon they are in trouble.
Buttler out. 45-3.
Brook gone. This is superb stuff from Pakistan, the pressure has been slowly increasing for the past few overs.
England just need one big over and it's game won.
Not sure it's coming though so could be tight. You still think Pakistan need to bowl them out to win though.
Few 4s and a six between two overs have all but won it for England
Ben Stokes does it again, he gets better and better.
:agree:
It's sometimes easy, because we live in such an ephemeral age, to lose sight of the sheer scale of hs achievements. If not already, he will be England's greatest ever all-rounder. It's not just about his compellong stats across all three formats, it is the stuff that is harder to measure - his presence on the field, his ability to make a breakthrough on a lethargic fourth day pitch with a ball that's 60 overs old and he's a bloody good fielder to boot.
I had hoped for a Pakistan win, going into the match. When they shine they are a sheer, unadulterated joy to watch. Lots of credit to England though. Taking Babar's wicket was momentous and more than a bit lucky but they relly turned the screw on Pakistan in the second half of their innings. It wasn't a great total in the end but there was something in the pitch for Pakistan. I think any hope for them really faded when Afridi had to stop bowling.
Well played England, white ball kings for now and they can be rightly very proud, but a real challenge awaits in defending their 50-over trophy in India next year!
England off to a poor start in Adelaide - 73-4 after 14 overs.
147-5 from 28 overs.
England pumped by 6 wickets.
England 209-0 against Pakistan.
After 32 overs of a test match. Some going.
Just finished watching the highlights, you've got to say it's nothing short of ridiculous - 506-4 at close of play. It's never safe to judge a pitch until both sides have bowled but, it's highly doubtful England will bowl as poorly as Pakistan.
This has been pretty turgid stuff, not a lot of help for the bowlers, those late wickets have maybe given England a little glimmer of hope. If the they can clean up the tail quickly wil there be enough time to bowl Pakistan out again though ?
England 78 ahead after 1st innings.
Time to smash it about and set up a chance.
This match is starting to get interesting , I guess Pakistan will shut the shutters now and take no risks
25-2 and one on the injury list
A good victory in the end for England.
Sydney Thunder score the lowest ever total in a T20 match. 15 all out in 5.5 overs 😮
Yes, they lost.
Some great cricket going on just now, it has to be said. I’ve been enjoying watching Babar be Babar for Pakistan against the Kiwis, he really is such a delight to watch when he shines.
Not much trumps the Boxing Day Test though, so it is a sleep-deprived Mibbes at the moment. First up it has to be said that SAF are just not there this series. Something hasn’t fallen into place. There is still talent - a bowler like Ramada walks into most Test sides - but not solidity. I wonder how much they miss QDK. He was in the top two or three red-ball glovesmen in the world, and he scored runs.
For the Aussies, Cam Green managed to get himself in contention for man of the match in Melbourne even though he will miss half of it! He is starting to motor IMO and I am really looking forward to seeing him play Ashes cricket. The injuries in the bowling line-up do offer the potential of Australia going with two spinners in Sydney. They rarely do that, even when they had the very capable Stuart MacGill available as Warnie’s backfill. There are as couple of names in the hat if they do go with two though and it may give a clue as to the direction of travel, post-Lyon.
As for their batting, there was a sense of redemption with Warner and his magnificent double ton in gruelling conditions. Alongside that we had the very likeable Alex Carey grabbing his first Test hundred - I guess that makes it a ‘demption’ :greengrin. Great achievement nonetheless and we face an interesting finale in this match between a demoralised SAF and walking wounded Australia.
Just the small matter of a home game against the league leaders to deal with first.......
