I don't know why folk are keen to have a go at ex players. You've added a Dempster quote, taken out of context, to a claim nobody has made. Certainly nobody is advocating going for Shaw at all let alone over Griffiths.
Poor effort from you both.

I’m inclined to agree. If the sale of Nisbet was the means to taking the gamble with Griffiths, I would settle for trying to keep Nisbet. It wouldn’t go down well with a lot of folk but, sentiment and nostalgia aside, I think RG will follow his head and not his heart,
In an ideal world we'd keep Nisbet Jim, but if we were offered Leigh, and got him fit, I'd be more inclined to get a player (in Leigh) who bangs goals in from everywhere in this league, and spend some on a young striker like Connor Shields (from a Nisbet sale) who can progress and develop alongside LG and Doidge. Still have high hopes for Gullan too when he returns. We need four good strikers at the club, something we have not had for a good while.
Bring him home.

MWHibbies, correct. Well picked up..I mean bring him here on a couple of year contract if possible.

That's my point - a few folk thinking we should have kept him, and/or claiming he's better than Doidge and stating so on a thread about the game he's playing in isn't a big deal, and maybe the poster above wasn't far off when he said those digs were over the top.
There's a far bigger number of people on here that reckon Doidge is better than Shankland. I think that's equally daft but doesn't make me want to slate Doidge on a totally unrelated thread.

Jack Ross had his say on the matter, today.

I really like the sound of Doidge and Griffiths up top together. They’d compliment each other well.
Can we change the title of this thread to ‘Sparky’s PROBABLY coming home.’ ??
