Excellent!
Well played Mrs B. Nothing more businesslike than announcing a new manager who is still employed by another club.

Boris Budge going for a no deal Stexit.
This could be fun....
Where's the popcorn.

It would not surprise me if Stendhal and his agent were already looking for a club in England.
It was well reported that he wanted to stay in the English leagues.
Can't see him there next season.
Poor season = binned
Good season = looking for a move
Mentioned on another thread but the rumour is a figure of £480,000 being demanded by Barnsley
All this hassle for a guy who didn’t want the job in the first place. Old Budge really is clueless!
Because he was forth pick does that make him a fourth dan
How many sleeps ‘til Stendel. Can’t wait for the start of the golden age of football.

This is comedy cold. Are Hearts going to have to sack him before he’s even taken a seat at his desk? HMFC. The gift that keeps on giving.
The first paragraph in that report suggests that they could have bit of a trouble maker or maverick on their hands.
Oh Hearts..
Adams and Ross say no.
Stendel saga goes on for weeks and weeks while he holds out for an English job to come up.
Finally when no-one else wants him he accepts.
Barnsley say "Show us the money Jambos".
Hearts say "we're not paying".
Barnsley say "we'll see you in court".
Stendel turns out to be a slippery snake.
McPhee still takes training with no sign of Stendel in the building.
This is comedy gold. Between this and Rangers bottling it I'm constanly spontaneously laughing at work.
This is the gift that keeps on giving!
So they’ve announced a manager that’s still contracted to another club but they say that’s incorrect and that Barnsley won’t get a penny because their lawyer says so.
Wonder if they’ve seen the contract which has apparently been broken.
This is just brilliant.
I really do hope this costs them!

Heart of Midlothian in a fierce battle with Barnsley. Bloody hell how small time is that

I knew the EEN would start trotting out these tropes....
"the Tynecastle Park hierarchy"
....by the time they lose the court case I'm hoping for a mention of "in the corridors of power at Tynecastle Park"....not seen it for a while.
This has so much potential to be another hilarious episode in their rotten history. :greengrin
Budge has elected to take a gamble on not paying compensation given that if the deal fell through and they appointed McCall or something the fans would be (rightly) going mental.
CHAIRMANS STATEMENT: “Everything is just rosy and we welcome Daniel to Hearts... he was always our first choice!!.... and anyone who says any different (including, me, when I suggested I wanted a man with experience, if you know what I mean!) is lying. Definitely didn’t want Jack Ross even though we spoke to him! On the matter of Barnsley, this is no ones fault... it’s a simple matter really... I just forgot to read the small print on his contract. Not to worry I forgot to order the seats for the new stand either and no one says that’s not the Biggest and Most Famous stadium in Edinburgh. Well they do but I can assure you I don’t listen!!”
I can see this being a thread of new stand proportions
Considering there was chat about Stendel only being on gardening leave and compensation needing to be paid by any club that wanted to hire him, you would have thought Hearts would have initially contacted Barnsley to get clarification on his contract situation. Through incompetence or arrogance they choice not to do that.
In an interview Budge said "we need to make sure we're doing everything properly", despite having failed to do things properly from the start. Her and her club are amateur beyond belief.
