Killed in helicopter crash
FFS 😭.
That's a shocker.
R.I.P.
That sucks. RIP
Just saw this, wow, possibly the most recognisable sportsman on the planet the last 20 years.
Hard to believe, rest in peace.
Awful.

RIP Kobe. A true American sporting superstar!
Oh good lord, at first they were reporting none of his children or his wife were on board.
Appears to be wrong according to this tweet from an American journalist..
"Sources have confirmed that neither #Bryant’s wife or children were on board of the helicopter that crashed."

Utterly stunned at this. A true sporting legend in the US, and all with one franchise.
Huge shock, one of the biggest names in sport.
It was only the other day LeBron James broke his record points total.
Real sad news. Let's not forget the other victims either.
An icon. I had a Lakers top with his name on it many moons ago.
RIP.
This is tragic, as someone else said arguably one of the most recognisable sports stars of the last 20 years.
Unfortunately the reports trickling out now do appear to have one of his daughters on board.uterly heartbreaking
Confirmation that there were 9 people on board. No survivors.
Absolutely brutal shame. The guy was a sporting icon. A role model
R.I.P. Kobe Bryant 😢
Not many sportspeople transcend their own sport but Kobe Bryant was one of those people.
Like Michael Jordan before him in his own sport, Tiger Woods, Roger Federer, Usain Bolt and Lionel Messi.
A global icon.
The fog was that bad that the local Police had already grounded their helicopter due to the poor visibility, sounds like they should never have attempted the flight.
Awful news
Looks like the pilot didn't have the training to fly in those conditions. Similarities to the accident where the young lad signing for Cardiff City died.
Flying at night or in these conditions needs a focus beyond what I can imagine. I'd be amazed if it was a mechanical issue rather than spatial disorientation. Guy was a bit of a hero of mines growing up when late night American sports were my thing. Tragic for all the families affected.
