1950 PRESS SPORTS GALA (Including 5-A-Side for Press Cup) PROGRAMME

12 page programme dated 20th July 1950, held at Old Meadowbank.

Multi sports also including Athletics, Speedway (Edinburgh Juniors vs Glasgow Juniors).

Eight teams participated in the 5-A-Side knockout football competition for the Press Cup.
They were: Partick Thistle, Royal Scots, Hibs, Leith Athletic, Rangers, Edinburgh City,
Falkirk, & Hearts.

The Hibs quintet was listed as Cairns, Paterson, Ormond, Smith, Reilly.

All results were marked in pencil, and after beating Leith Athletic, then Royal Scots, Hibs then defeated Hearts in the Final to lift the Trophy.

The programme is in decent condition for age and looking to swap it for either the 1949 PRESS SPORTS GALA (21/7/1949) or the 1952 PRESS SPORTS GALA (20/7/1952).
