Going by these figures it shows us as the biggest attendance for a home game as both Celtic and Rangers games quoted were at Hampden?
Why they have not quoted Ibrox and Parkhead around the same time as our record, I'm sure Ibrox was about 118,000 and Parkhead about 83,000?
Its a strange way of picking figures, but it shows us in a good light!!!!
In fairness to the Old Firm they both absolutely smash all the traditional big English clubs out the park on that one
Funny how self-proclaimed “big teams” are just as detestable around the world “timão” (big team) Refers to Corinthians in Brasil. Enough said.
The Chelsea picture is pretty amazing by today's standards. Don't think they'll let fans sit on the advertising hoarding like they did back then.

Fair to say H&S has come on a bit. This is Pittodrie for a match against us in 1947.

My dad and a few other hibbys of his generation mentioned that there was a game against Rangers at Easter Road where the crowd was probably in the region of 75000 not long after the Hearts game. I think the reported attendance was somewhere in the region of 58000. The games against Rangers in these days were advertised as the biggest games in Britain.
