Naturally the manager and players deserve a huge amount of credit but the recruitment team shouldn't go unnoticed.
There have been a fair few threads on here digging into them but Horgan, Omeonga and McNulty changed the game for us today.

Mixed bag with too many players we can’t get on the pitch.
Age profile of the squad needs lowered next season as well.

I get the feeling Heck will work well with the recruitment team, who have done pretty well in general.
My biggest complaint was the planning for this season as it was obvious we lacked forward players and were very lightweight in midfield. Horgan. Mallan and Milligan have all done fine but it was only when Omeonga came in and Slivka started getting game time that we got that little bit of extra dynamism and movement we needed in the middle. I'd imagine that was Lennon's final decision.
I'm really looking forward to see who we sign next year. I don't think we will have the Lennon approach where he seemed to pick individuals he liked without much thought to the system he was going to play, if he even knew. I suspect Heck will have the high press game in mind with every signing and will make sure there is flexibility. I hope he gets the backing Lennon did.
Agreed. But overall we are not that dissimilar from our closest competitors:
Average Age:
Hibs - 26.7 (Squad size: 26)
Hearts - 26.8 (Squad size: 28)
Kilmarnock - 27.0 (Squad size: 25)
Aberdeen - 27.1 (Squad size: 19)

Recruitment was the main area that Hearts were perceived to have got it right, in comparison to us, at the start I'd the season when they were flying. All change now.
