There are strong arguments for every decade but I would have to agree. We could go on all night listing great films from the seventies.Quote:

The 1940s. Golden Age of Hollywood, Bogart and Bacall, Casablanca, Film Noir, Cagney and thegangster genre,Citizen Kane all of that. Wizard of Oz referencing WW2. Plus for the hipsters, Renoir in French cinema and Rossellini in Italian cinema.

I’d not make a case for the 80s being the best decade but it’s in with a shout of being my favourite. I like all the John Hughes type of comedies. Planes Tranes & Automobiles, Ferris Buellers Day Off, Uncle Buck, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels etc
90s for me.
