Ian McCulloch (Bunnymen) is an outstanding front man….and has the ego to go with it

Freddie for me is in a league of his own as a front man, great voice, charismatic and has the crowd in the palm of his hand, others have it or parts of it but no one to that extent
There are many
Mick Jagger
Michael Hutchence
Axl Rose
Scott Weiland
Joe Strummer
Michael Stipe
Jello Biafra
Iggy Pop
Johnny Rotten
Alex Harvey
Freddie all day long.
James Graham
Dave Gahan
In his heyday, Ian Anderson.
Ian Dury was one of the best I've seen.
Hard to compare them , different times . Morrison was always wasted , doing crazy **** on stage and didnt give a **** . Freddy was a total professional , took his craft seriously and did gigs in massive arenas and stadiums . Morrison was dead before he'd hit his peak , Freddy had hit the top before he died .
Freddy was probably better all round but i prefer Jims music
Jimi Hendrix, Prince, Brooooooce, spring to mind Ian Curtis, Wilko Johnson, Samual Herring all great at throwing shapes.

Not one for the super cool gang but Brandon Flowers has to be one of the best front men of the modern era.
Jim Dandy
Malford Milligan
Robert Plant
Ozzy
Peter Gabriel (early Genesis)
Siouxsie Siuox has to be in with a shout as best front person. PJ Harvey is up there as well.
Hermann was was always much more visible and upfront compared to his hermits.
Special shout for Terry Hall who just used to stand still while everyone else acted like a frontman.
