Stopped being funny twenty years ago at least. Embarrassing to Scotland and Scottish comedy.
BBC Scotland's Hogmanay coverage is horrific and won't be watching.
You could copy and paste the equivalent thread from last year (and 2017, 2016 etc) and it will all be applicable. Chronic TV.
The BBC Scotland are showing Jim Smiths (Farmer Jim) Back to the Teuchter live recording at 10pm, which is something interesting, new and funny - everything OAE is not.
I'm doing the Only an Excuse BS bingo, and only need a mention of his Stevie Clark impression for a line.

Its a show aimed at cardigan wearing octogenerians who can actually, partially, recall some of the alleged imitations and as funny as a wet Sunday in Stornwsy.
They will switch over, from a Glasgow studio, to Edinburgh at about 5 to midnight then back again a few mins after the bells. Why on earth they ignore one of the worlds biggest New Year parties for a Glasgow studio is beyond me.
It used to be funny about 20 years ago. Its run its course now dont even laugh once watching it these days
The thread about how crap Only an Excuse is is now a bigger part of New Year for me than the programme itself is, which I haven't watched for at least decade, because it is crap.
