HOSPITALITY
Hospitality for this fixture is available for supporters in the Albion Bar, Edinburgh Club or Behind-The-Goals.
Behind The Goals
Our matchday ‘Behind The Goals’ sports bar is open to all home supporters!
Access passes cost £5 and includes live sport on the TV screens, pitch views, special German-themed street food, a card bar and access pre & post-match.
Can't access the ticket site, it says my browsing activity has been blocked :dunno:
Didn’t realise tickets were already on sale for this, got mine sorted now.
East & West open only.
Tickets bought…got my season tickets seats.
its a big year for the Hibs and boy does it look better now than I thought in the early part of the season!
Edinburgh is green!
ggtth
Managed to get our three season tickets seats, looking forward to welcoming our guests from Germany
Just bought our ST seats.
Fun fact but only one player in history has played in both a Scottish Cup Final for Hibs AND a German Cup Final for Rott Weiss Essen...
Match & BTG tickets bought. Looking forward to this.
Grün-Weiss Hibees v Rot-Weiss Essen,
....sounds like a game I really need to go to!
:flag:
BTG tickets bought now too, I’m day off so a few beers will be good.😀
Bought our ST seats on Tuesday just after email came through.
Also looking forward the 150 exhibition but from what I can make out, tickets not available until 20 May for 25/26 ST holders.
My mother wouldn’t let me go to the first game -said the crowd would be too big. She’s no longer around to ask about this one so I might risk it.
Out of interest does anyone know if it's true we are charging away fans significantly more for this game? Seen a few German fans kicking off about it on social media but not sure if it's just an exchange rate issue.
Edit: Just checked and it's €24.75 for away fans so about £6-7 more.
Just bought ours. Looking forward to it. There were Rot-weiss fans at ER last season visiting for historical reasons so hopefully it will be a tempting fixture in their support
Essen tickets went on resale to members today & supposedly 3 sections of the south lower are already sold out. Looking like a great following coming from Germany.
I've got a giant Sachsen flag with 'Sachsen Hibees' on it, to greet (confuse?) them from the home end.

2.5k fans 😁
Any other pre season games been arranged yet
Blimey. What's their standing in German football these days? My brother and I were over at the friendly to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the European Cup game 20 years ago and my memory is that they were a club which had fallen a long way from more illustrious times.
When Lenny was in charge the was a group of 15 in the west stand near to me. They were chatting with the Hibs fans around them. Have seen their fans at other games as well.2.5k travelling 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Catering should be a German Theme. Pity we can't serve alcohol at the game.
Already mentioned but BTG open selling alcohol and German street food £5 admission kill for tickets
I hope they all realise how bloody expensive Edinburgh is for hotels and b&b,s?
Wow, that's an incredible effort by them for a friendly. Lets hope it is just that with Hibs and RWE fans mingling together pre and post match. We are after all forever united as European pioneers.
Does anybody know if the FF is open for this game? I saw somebody say that it was only the east and west, but that's clearly not accurate if RWE fans are being housed in the south.
Celtic win the cup.
Hibs would then enter Europa League qualifying at the second round and, therefore, a longer route into continental competition. There's also a significant difference in timing, with the UEL second round qualifying taking place across July 24 and 31, with the play-offs not until August 21 and 28 - after the new Scottish Premiership campaign has started.
For now, though, Gray says his players deserve a well-earned rest following a remarkable campaign.
"When we come back depends on what that first European game looks like, because there's a difference between going into the qualifiers compared to the final play-off game," said the Hibs head coach. "I think there's a difference in the middle of July, the actual first competitive game [if Aberdeen win the cup].
My tickets arrived today
Is the whole stadium open for this game? Think I saw mention of only 2/3 stands being used but might be wrong.
In light of the fact we may not be generating as much income from Europe as we'd hoped, this would be a good game to try to shift a lot of tickets for. With so many German fans apparently attending it would be good to try to create a bit of a European-tie atmosphere - and while Essen aren't the force they once were it's potentially quite useful for the players to come up against a different type of opponent ahead of the Europa ties. Wonder if SDG will be looking to use it more in that way now, rather than just a kind of ceremonial friendly.

From Essen one is already looking forward to this highlight!
Scotland is already worth a trip, especially Edinburgh is a beautiful city on pictures and videos.
Who has a tip for a pub after the game? And please let the city know that the beer stock needs to be increased

With it being a 7pm kick-off, I'd suggest a before game bar as Robbie's on Leith Walk. If the sun is shining, perhaps The Boundary Bar just a little further up Leith Walk as that has seating outside I think (Robbie's dos not but if the pub is packed they do allow an overspill to the street)
All pubs will be open post game but it's a wednesday so most will close around 11pm. I'm sure the younger crew could tell you where to head for late night nonsense.
This commemorative coin looks a pretty nice item.

They’ll open it if they need to. History would suggest they won’t and we’ll get nowhere near 16,000 for a Wednesday night game in close season against third tier German opposition. 10,000 would be decent if 2,000+ German fans whets the appetite for some. Another signing or two would also help.
All the best x
We didn’t even come close to selling out the Luzern European game in 2023. Our support is up since then and the away crowd will be better, but there’s still surely no way we come close to selling out a friendly. The club have recognised that by not opening one stand, and in the unlikely case that changes, they can simply elect to open it up.
Just purchased ours today, poor tickets sales so far, hopefully more up take nearer the time.
There's absolutely no need to buy early for this either.
Think it was Clyde and next year when people were fretting about crowds of about 5/6k. It'll pick up to something respectable, but ultimately it's a friendly just like testimonials for even the greats would be naturally capped at a certain level.
You don't think this will be well attended? I'm quite surprised to be honest. It's the showpiece game of our 150th anniversary celebrations is it not? And I wondered if Gray might be using it as preparation for our European ties. I know Essen aren't a top side by any means but their fans seem to be coming over in very large numbers and it would be a bit disappointing if there's only a sparse Hibs turnout. I got my tickets early thinking it would be a bit of a crowd puller.
Think it was a mistake attendance wise not including this one in the purchase of a season ticket. Even a pay what you want offering would have ensured more of a crowd.
I'm not convinced many will be bothered about this game or DM’s testimonial. At this time of the year people have holidays, European games at home and for some away and ST. People only have so much to spend on Hibs and these two games will be lucky to break 8k
Have a sense that this will be a more popular game than many believe. Think they might open up the FF
Will I be going to the game? - 100% yes and look forward to it
Have I bought my ticket yet? - No
First time ive loaded a file on here, was a bit clumsy. Hope it works. A prize possession from our first meeting

Cost of the programme equivalent to around 50p today?
It’s no wonder folk were able to amass quite sizable programme collections back in the day!
Trying to buy a ticket for this and Daz’s testimonial but I’m getting an error message saying my browsing activity has been paused.

Not on my VPN, tried both WiFi and mobile data, tried different browsers, tried phone and laptop - all the same.
Any ideas?
Where I'm at as well. Fully intend to go to that and the Daz Testimonial, but waiting for a few things to drop into place, EG will they open the FF so I can get my usual seat for the RWE game and is my mate intending to go to either game so we can book seats together.
The other thing is that in the age of downloading tickets to your phone and print at home, unless there's a huge demand for tickets you can practically wait until the morning of the game to download a ticket knowing you will get one. So even if there hasn't been a huge uptake a few weeks before kick off, it doesn't mean the game won't see a decent uptake later on.
As for the super uptake by the RWE fans. I doubt the excitement of seeing the mighty Hibees in action is the main attraction, whereas the chance for a fanbase who don't get many trips to Europe to visit one of Europe's more attractive cities and have a bit of a jolly at the same time most definitely will be :greengrin
I wasn't going to this game but with the unveiling of the Stanton stand taking place before the game, it's now a no brainer to attend.
Already got my tickets but if I didn’t have them ,I would be definitely be going after todays great news ,I think ther will be a number of people especially of my generation who will not want to miss this great occasion and honour to Mr Hibs :flag:
A fan zone will be open for this game, sounds quite good!

I had the same - and tbh I’m not even buying as I’m in London and can’t make it
But I still wanted to login and it just wouldn’t work - I’m also not using VPN
I gave up after a few goes but I’d be extremely frustrated if I was trying to buy tickets
