A Disciplinary Tribunal convened today in accordance with the Judicial Panel Protocol to consider the following case:
Alleged Party in Breach: Terry Butcher, Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC (now Hibernian FC)
Match: Inverness CT v Dundee United (Scottish League Cup) – 29th October 2013
Disciplinary Rule(s) allegedly breached:
Disciplinary Rule 203: Misconduct at a match by failing to behave in a responsible manner as an occupant of the technical area by acting in an aggressive manner towards players of the opposing team.
Outcome: Breach of Disciplinary Rule 203 admitted
Sanction: Fine of £1000 imposed along with a two-match suspension applied: one match immediate and one match suspended until the end of the Season 2013/14, and to take effect in the event that Mr Butcher is found in breach of Rule 203 during that period.
What a joke
Ah the old anti-hibs bias has struck against Terry already I see!
Wasnt required the last time :greengrin
they've had two weeks with it being an international weekend. To then announce it less than 48hours before his first game in charge
Too many Lennon examples come to mind
Why did they not do this quicker then his self composed stand position v us at ER a few weeks back would have taken care of this
What a ****ing joke!
No big deal, it's only one game.
I'm sure he'll still have a good influence on the team despite being in the stand for this match.
He quite often sits in the stand anyway. No biggy.
Thing is he wont be allowed anywhere near the tunnel, dressing room or pitch side 1 hour before the game and 15 minutes after the final whistle.
Malpas is generally the one talking to the players during the game anyway so I don't think this will have a huge impact tactically...the 4th official might get off more lightly though!
I amn't sure how these things work I take it TB is banned from the changing room before the game and at half time as well as the dug out?
Hibs appeal. TB will be in dugout tomorrow.
:tee hee:
Butcher to take charge of tomorrow's game
More...
Terry will def be in dugout. Hibs lodge an appeal
Very very clever.
Great news. Very clever move by the club.
Well done RSS Bot:wink:
Might not be so clever when they hit him with a three game ban for a cheeky appeal...
Good! :agree:
Nice to see the club hitting back, even if he doesn't win the appeal.
Hopefully add a few more to the crowd tomorrow
It definitely wasn't him Guv. A clear case of mistaken identity.
:protest:
Well done Hibs. **** them. Would rather they double it than he misses his first game.
I thought it a bit strange that Hibs, as a Club, were being punished for an alleged incident in a Caley v United game.
If TB is eventually found to be guilty then I would have thought that in this case any punishment should be meted out to the individual in the way of a fine. Hibs as a Club, should certainly not suffer as they were not directly involved.
