Yep I know. But that's the message that the right are trying to get over, sometimes subtle and sometimes very blunt but that's basically the seed they're trying to plant. It's all rubbish of course but I'm sure someone will be along in a minute who believes this guff and has a couple of YouTube videos that will convince us.
My wife's friend lives in a small village in Sachsen and they were so terrified when a handful of refugees was housed there temporarily that they stopped taking their kids to the park and some of the women started going to the shops in pairs, instead of on their own.
Apparently it's a 'well known fact' that the refugees would rape them and steal their children.
:rolleyes:
Have a look at last Friday night's Unreported World on Channel 4 for some "interesting" viewpoints from some of Trumps more extreme female supporters .
History repeating.........

I see Steve Bannon has now been arrested for fraud. The minute Trump loses his pardon power they are all going to turn on him badly. If he doesn’t win in November I can’t see him staying out of jail.

Not the first time in recent days Bannon has been linked with criminal activity;

Sadly swept under the carpet by Trumps lackeys. One legal analyst (and 30 year career prosecutor in the US) predicts this could be revisited if Trump leaves the WH in January. That will depend on how much pardon power Trump has before he leaves, if he knows those close to him are in legal jeopardy once/if he’s out of office can he pardon them in advance?

Cheers.
Found this in regards to Bannon, hypocrisy beyond belief;

Pretty desperate article in The Guardian on Donald Trump today (has The Guardian 'jumped the shark'?)
"Trump confirms Stormy Daniels claim that he's terrified of sharks"
By all means, point out his many failings but this is just coming over as obsessive hatred, similar to their policy that every single article that mentions Corbyn must contain the words 'anti-semitism'
Competition for the title of craziest Republican candidate, following the Q Anon lady. This nutcase is actually their candidate for the U.S. Senate! Social distancing is a Marxist conspiracy. Poor old Karl gets blamed for everything, though he died 150 years ago:

Genius...wearing masks in a pandemic will turn us in zombies!
There are a few classic phrases from Jo as well.
Lots of talk about the undefined them and they being the nefarious oppressors. They are trying to do this...if we let them do that then this bad thing happens etc.
Then the classic denial of being a conspiracist because it’s what she believes and it’s her views. The absolute definition of someone who believes conspiracies is someone who denies the large body of evidence available due to putting their own personal observations and beliefs in front of everything!
Barack obama is the supreme king of pardons,commutations/clemency, he granted 330 commutations on his last full day in office, he issued more commutations than the previous 13 presidents combined, overall he issued 1,927 pardons/clemency/commutations etc..all from wikapedia, bill clinton pardoned 450, and i bet ghislaine maxwell is desperate for trump to get re-elected, which he won't be :greengrin

Quote:
Although President Obama set a record for the most commutations in history, his total of 212 pardons was well below that of many of his predecessors. Bill Clinton issued 396 pardons, Ronald Reagan 393, and the all-time record goes to Franklin Delano Roosevelt, who issued 2,819 pardons during his 12 years (not 16) in office. George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush were the only presidents of the modern era who issued fewer pardons than Barack Obama.
