Was at the Enemy at the O2 Academy last week. They were only on stage for 65-70 minutes but battered through 17 songs. They were superb.
Then last night saw Paolo Nutini at the same venue. He was absolutely top drawer.
Can tell he’s maybe bored with some of his earlier stuff tho. Didn’t do last request and then done rearranged versions of pencil full of lead, new shoes, Jenny don’t be hasty and Candy. Was on for pretty much 2 hours and came out for the encore with the whole band dressed as Ghostbusters, sang ghostbusters and was joined by the Marshmallow man. [emoji23]

Kasabian last night at the Hydro were superb. Such a powerful band. Serge taking over lead vocals has added to the energy and Robert Harvey from The Music joining really adds to sound. One thing I learned from the gig.....I'm getting too old for the mosh pit!
Well I was going to get tickets to see Peter Gabriel at the OVO Glasgow. But I'll be blowed if I'm paying £200 plus fees for a ticket to that place.
It was a fantastic gig. I agree about Serge though I spoke to a lot of people afterwards who disagreed. “Nowhere near as good without Tom”, “he’s not a front man”, “too rocky now” (wtf?), “probably my least favourite Kasabian gig”, “Tom’s solo gig in December will be a lot better than that”. I was shocked as I thought it was fantastic and preferred it to when I saw them with Tom.Quote:
