Strange to see this only given as a yellow.
The ridiculousness of hearing a Last Post Remembrance observation in October...
VVD kicks out twice at Havertz but no booking
Poor defending by Robertson, goal Saka
Watching Norwich boro, now 3-3 city were 3-1 down. Marcondes playing superbly!
What a great goal.
1-0 Gunners.
Saka punished it really well but thought the keeper was weak
That Marcondes looks decent for Norwich.
Brilliant pass from Ben White. Saka sent Robertson for the messages.
straight red card for Mclean at Norwich
only two mins remaining 3-3 v Boro

liam gordon yellow card but i think VAR should upgrade that one, shocker on the boys ankle
Red Card
FT 0-3
1-1 Van Dijk
Have to say Van Dijk is one of the daftest looking individuals I've ever seen. That greasy strange hairdo and his pathetic chin beard are absolutely shameful.
Pains me to say it but the ugly sister results suit us.
Derby del Italia proving to be a great game. 2-2 between Inter and Juve. Still first half!
2-2 Salah
Arsenal running on fumes. Brutal injuries catching up. Excellent goal by Liverpool.
4-2 Inter v Juve. Some game
Arsenal goal disallowed for, winning a header? It seems. Strange.
4-3 Inter v Juve. Superb stuff
Good result for Liverpool , now a point behind City … Arsenal 5 . Don’t think either are going to stop City this season though.
Inter 4 Juve 4
Wow !
Inter 4 Juve 4. Incredible game this

Quite a funny (and true) community note.
It’s not strange if you understand the laws of the game as explained to you last week. An incident needs to meet 4 criteria to satisfy the law on Denial of a Goalscoring Opportunity - as with the Chelsea/Liverpool incident, this one fails to meet the criteria on general direction of play. Van de Ven and the Palace player are running from a central position in the direction of the corner flag to challenge for the ball whereas in the Bournemouth/Arsenal incident, the ball and attacker were both on a direct line towards goal.
Lovely goal by Alex Gogic against Der Hun rose like an unmarked salmon to head home
Czerny looks a player
Just becomes a subjective mess really. Think Palace player is as clear in on goal as anything really imo. I do understand about direction of play, but literally 1 touch and he's on the goalie and could shoot. Bournemouth player needs 4/5 touches before he's ready to shoot.
Clean penalty not given because Konate supposedly touched the ball. He didn't.
Foul given for winning a header? That stopped Arsenal winning goal.
Another weekend of rubbish refereeing, and that was only the matches I watched.
The introduction of VAR has actually seen much of the subjectivity removed from DOGSO decisions as the review allows the direction of play at the time of the offence to be quite easily determined. On review the ball and players are quite clearly not on a line towards goal, the evidence available to officials in this instance is clear enough to not be subjective IMO.
The penalty incident, Konate touches the ball with his upper right shin/knee - https://x.com/gunnerinjal/status/185...CqnZmqhpqvZvEA
The foul wasn’t given against Kiwior for the header, it was against Havertz for elbowing Konate while simultaneously handballing, the referee clearly whistled after this foul and not the Kiwior header.
Attachment 28218
Think it's very subjective tbh. Palace player had a far better chance to score than Evanilson. White is at least getting close, whereas no-one is anywhere near covering for Spurs.
Hadn't seen that angle of Konate tackle.
Clearly went to whistle after kiwior header. And play should have continued and then been checked. Elbowing Konate is a real stretch. Not a single Liverpool player appealed for anything.
Van Dijk should've went after 5 minutes for 2 deliberate kick outs too.
Was also strange to see Diaz not booked for kicking it away, the reason being "Arsenal weren't set to take free kick" while Trossard was booked 1 second after, with Bernardo still on the floor.
Honestly think the lack of consistency around certain decisions are mental. Penalty given against De Ligt was a shocker. You seen at the Euros how bad PGMOL refs are. I don't think it's an Arsenal thing. It's an English refs thing.
Blackpool v Wigan.. SSM . 8:00 .
Both teams have lost their last couple of games and are 18th and 19th in the league 1 .
Blackpool player trying to a Triantis there :greengrin
1-0 Wigan .. Rankine looked a good player last game I seen Wigan .
2-0 Wigan … Blackpool were the better team in all .
Wigan 2-1 Blackpool OG Kerr I think.. Great time to get a goal .
The kicking the ball away/delaying the restart of play thing is a total mess in England, the refs seem to apply it when it suits them (and arsenal have had the arse end of that this season), and are backed up by the referees mafia who seem to have weedled their way into coverage, between Mike dean on live matches who works hard to talk without ever saying anything that could be construed as criticising a ref, and dermot Gallagher doing similar on a Monday morning on sky sports news, who seems to just find convoluted reasoning that every refereeing decision is correct
Blackpool 2 - 2 Wigan … Blackpool should have had a penalty IMO actually enjoyed this . Full time.
Quite good watch that. Refreshingly little farting around.

Not sure if this is elsewhere on the forum, but anyone else going to the Scotland Hungary women's playoff tonight at ER?
I think it's just the West lower and East stand open but it looks to be a fairly decent crowd, with the East close to a sell out.
Scotland won the away leg 1-0, and could face Montenegro or Finland in the 2nd Playoff off round (win that tie and they qualify for the Euros).
Hopefully make a nice change to see a win at Easter Road :greengrin
Quite a few games on Skysports + tonight .probably the pick of them is …
Southampton v Stoke SS+ .7:45 .
Brentford v Sheffield weds SSM . 8:00.
AC Milan v Napoli for me tonight.
1-0 Napoli, Lukaku. The guy likes a goal v Milan for Conte.
1-0 Scotland ladies. 2-0 on aggregate
Good crowd at ER tonight
Dylan Vente with another goal for PEC Zwolle in the Dutch Cup. They're loosing 3-2 in extra time.
passing is awful last several minutes
anyway, looks a pretty decent crowd
lovely goal Cuthbert 2-0
slight deflection
Southampton 1 Stoke City 0
Brentford player was fortunate there .
Scotland women’s games should be played at stadiums like Easter Road.
Waste of time playing at Hampden.
Easter Road looks good as always.
Scotland will have another playoff game over 2 legs if they want to get to the Euros - think it’s Finland they play.
2-0 Napoli
3-0 Scotland(4-0)
4-0(5-0)
Southampton 2 Stoke City 2
Nice to watch home side at ER wining comfortably - been a while
Pars 2-0 Livvy . As it stands Falkirk 4 points ahead of Livvy and 5 ahead of Ayr Utd … would rather any of the other two than that horrible club going up .
special for Caroline Weir scoring tonight at the Holy Ground along with her Hibby Husband in the crowd:wink:
Penalty shootout .. mon the owls
Delighted to see Livi got pumped tonight.
Finland game at ER at end of November.
Most enjoyable, stress free home game of the season tonight. Took my daughter. Really impressed with Lisa Evans and Erin Cuthbert.
The Scottish side a who's who of ex Hibs players...Shannon McGregor also getting her Scotland debut at ER must have been special for her.
Raith played last night in the league and then play again on Friday , Weird.

amazing stuff as usual in Argentina. I'll be hoping for similar at Dingwall.
Real Madrid behaving like Huns over Rodri winning the ballon dor.
Statements galore and strangely their push for Vinicius or Carvajal (haha) to win it whilst neglecting to mention Bellingham is very odd. Pathetic behaviour from a club of that size
I read somewhere that they effectively ‘choose’ a player at the club and they get almost all the club’s PR support and lobbying driven on their behalf - even Bellingham was apparently leant on to talk up Vinicius in the run up to the announcement.
I’m no Man City fan at all, but Rodri is an exceptional player, his win rate is ridiculous, and chips in regularly with goals even from a nominal defensive mid position. Don’t think there’s any real reason to doubt his validity as the winner (unless you’re a part of the entitlement of Real Madrid )
Wasn’t aware of that but that’s pretty pathetic if true. Doesn’t explain all the references to Carvajal from the club and now Ancelotti has tweeted about Vini and Carvajal.
I agree Rodri deserves it. He’s a superb player and it’s nice to see a non forward winning it for a change. Watching players like Rodri, Xavi, Busquets and iniesta over the years is what football is all about
Their reason for Carvajal is he won everything Rodri won, and the CL. That makes you the best player apparently.
Vinicius was lucky to get 2nd imo. Neymar was 10x the player Vinicius is, and he never got near it. He has a strong end to the season, but not anything crazy otherwise. Does very little for Brazil.
Been a few controversial awards over the years, but this really isn't one of them.
I’m undecided about Vinicius, he clearly is a very good player, but I can’t help thinking he’s a player who fits very well with the weird way that Madrid play, and benefits hugely from it. Play a proper centre forward and he doesn’t get half as many goals, he relies on the nominal forward and opposite winger sacrificing for him, and a team that oddly doesn’t attack with many players, so he isn’t asked to do any real tracking back
Empoli v Inter, Empoli down to 10 men.
2-0 Inter, Frattesi x 2.
Not got a stream of Hibs game so watching dons v Huns. Aberdeen look decent
4-1 Man U.
2-0 Arsenal
2-0 Newcastle
1-0 Spurs
Aberdeen 1 - 0 Rangers
Shinnie hits post
Dons all over them
Aberdeen are very impressive. Everything we’re not, passion, energy, pace and power.
Hearts 1 - 0 Killie
Heartz 1 Killie 0
1-0 Liverpool
Aberdeen are so up for this game.
What a transformation.
No chance Aberdeen get this
Edit: wow
VAR review for Aberdeen pen. I think that should be given
Did they have a pyro display?
