Seem mostly disappointed to see him go here.
Your saying it’s pretty clear why though you have to remember the guys came from half way across the world with all that brings in time change, different culture , new league and in a team that’s been struggling for a few years now , not saying we should sign him or anything though I do think it’s possible that in a better team that has better players he might be ok , heard Gray saying that Manneh has struggled a bit with the pace of our game maybe this guys been chucked in the deep end earlier than he should have considering their plight , just a thought like ..
He’ll have adapted to the time difference within about a week and the culture in Scotland is hardly a world apart from Australia. County have also finished 7th the previous two seasons before he arrived, it’s a bit of a stretch to suggest they’ve been struggling.
Ultimately though, you have to be able to adapt to these mild inconveniences if you want to be a good footballer. You can’t just expect everything to be perfectly set up for you at all times.
Josh Nisbet is a good player who will go on to play at a higher level.
Would like him to stay in Scotland, the better players here helps the game however he’d be good on the continent.
Would like him at Hibs but Mackay is against it because he was identified before his arrival, fair enough. We don’t need him now anyway but one that got away.
County fans are disappointed in his departure but far too good for the Championship.
Good luck to him. The angst amongst some to try and prove others wrong is incredible.
In the summer you were telling us it would be a coup for us to sign him and that we should move quick before bigger teams come in.
He ended up at Ross County and played a significant part in them getting relegated.
Forgive me if I’m not going to expect him to go onto play at a higher level.
And again, it’s not angst to try and prove others wrong. It’s a discussion on a player that was discussed at length last summer on here, one which yourself and a couple of other posters were insistent would be an incredible signing. It’s hardly a surprise he’s being discussed again.
Yourself and Brightside appear to be incredibly precious about a failed Ross County player for some reason.
Having only seen JN play when Hibs played County he looked particularly average at best, not their worst player but nowhere near their best.
Folk were raving about how good he was before he moved to Scotland but like so many before him he's not cut it in the Scottish prem. i'd file him in the same bracket at Jair, Kenneh, etc. not good enough.
For what it's worth, I thought he could be a good player in a good team, tune will tell, but I have a feeling that a signing is very, very close,
Definitely what he suggested when speaking to supporters at a do, yes.
Albeit it’s not hard to see a profile that Mackay has implemented in terms of stature, height and domestic awareness.
He did say though that we “needed to move on” from previous choices and people we had looked at. Got to respect that, he’s not got much wrong and now we have McGrath in that position but technically Nisbet is and has proven to be a very good player.
In reply to BHFC, sorry forgot to quote, I do think we need to be looking at players with greater technical ability than we currently have and Nisbet has the attributes that would enhance the skill set. There’s a fine balance to be had but don’t think this team has the ability to get to the group stages in European via the qualifiers like we have to now.
You need different options, let’s see what the next few weeks bring but Nisbet has genuine creative qualities.
Maybe McKay did not want him because he judged him not good enough for us?
Nothing on Hoilett or Rocky yet, would have thought Hoilett would have been relatively straight forward.
