I think this way a lot. It’s tempting to accept that Americans are all stupid rednecks to fall for his constant nonsense. However, He is now trailing by historic levels in the polls. He did lose the popular vote last time around. He had a number of unique advantages last time round; an opponent who was widely mistrusted and disliked. Bottomless coffers in an electoral system where money matters above all else. The best voter analytics, vital especially in localising trends to district level and the best sophisticated social media targeting. And I’ve been reading and listening a lot about US voter suppression; Republican states like Texas allocate so few voting booths to districts that vote Democrat that 6 hour queues are the norm, resulting in lower turnout where people work multiple jobs and can’t get time off, removal of voters, making registration more onerous from particular districts etc. I think American Idiots are over represented by both its electoral system and its media.Quote:
