Betis players absolutely heartbroken
Betis ran out of legs in the end.
Kind of expected, but what a journey to the final.
I'm biased but what a fantastic club. Worth a read if you have time. Relegations, financial problems with the occasional glory thrown in. Kind of like Hibs in a way.
What a **** Cole Palmer is - great player but that interview, ice cold p**** !
Nope, sorry CWG but that was an awful interview and nothing to do with shyness or bring uncomfortable - arrogant, joyless, and couldn’t be arsed - in short rude to the interviewer/presenter. At least show some emotion for the support who have paid thousands to travel and support. He didn’t even celebrate with his fans. Only a European trophy after all !
lie rather football players honed their craft than became polished public speakers. Let his feet do the talking.
And whether folks are neurodiverse or not I think it serves us well as human beings to stop and think if something doesn’t seem quite as we expect it there could something else going on.
What do you know about Cole Palmer and how he felt about winning?
Have you considered that Palmer may have an introverted personality trait - and doesnt relish some of the aspects of "off field" activities that other players may enjoy?
He clearly relishes being inside the lines of a football pitch - which is what he gets paid for.
He is a hugely talented footballer and thats all that matters.
:agree:
Ive got no opinion about Palmer but my teenage son absolutely loves his attitude, and in a way its refreshing to see a player not steeped in the media training cliches. ‘It makes it all worth it seeing the happy fans faces’ etc. Nah, mate it makes it all worth it because after 15 years of working and training every day you are now a millionaire’. We get it :greengrin
Jim - I don't know factually, but yes I would say he is on the autistic spectrum. I have an adult daughter who is and I can see a whole lot of similar traits (used to be sometimes referred to as Asperger's)
Fantastically talented in one area - she is an engineer - but social situations and norms are a strain
I'm autistic and the most you could have probably got out of me the day after the cup win was "yeah it was pretty good!"
Internally I was the same as the rest of you.
Scotland women relegated from their Nations League group after a tame 1-0 defeat in the new manager's first game.
First thing they need to do is stop playing these games at Hampden. There looked to be barely a soul there.
England meanwhile thrash Portugal 6-0 in front of 55,000.
The chasm-like gap is depressing.
Watching PSG tonight is like watching the Tornadoes
2-0
Another big shift coming in European Football if they can keep this team together. After Man City / Madrid / Bayern / Barcelona and others have all had their moments.
I really disliked PSG when they just signed the most high profile players (many of whom were selfish individualists with no team ethic)
They are going beyond Peps inverted fullbacks in midfield dominance to Full backs as CF's it just such hard working, pressing combined with bags of skill and youthful exuberance - great to watch.
Never seen an old warhorse Italian team look so stunned - so much so they have not even made a bookable tackle
3-0 . That's a brilliant goal.
You win nothing with kids
I bought Doue as a 17 yo for Hibs in fifa. Sliding doors…
