Did they say in commentary that Nicky Devlin is out of contract at the Dons? :eyes:
Tbf I was one that really wanted Allan Campbell, always thought he was a really good player.
Doesn’t seem to have hit it off at United.
Shows how hard recruitment can be.
Paton at United is another that a lot wanted and doesn’t seem to have done great
I would have no problem in trying to resurrect his career with a cheeky bid if SDG likes him, he wouldnt be the first player to struggle to settle at a new club in a new midfield (Dylan Levitt anyone?).
But if we want help in that position id prefer Josh Mulligan from Dundee if his performance against us is anything to go by. At 22 hes also4 years younger than Campbell.
Re Josh Milligan
Talking to a Dundee fan yesterday reckons Millwall in for him
Moving outwith Scotland, the buying club would only have to pay the development fee as calculated by FIFA’s Training Compensation framework. Looking at the online calculator FIFA provide, the fee would be about £300k.
Moving to another Scottish Club, the buying team would need to agree a development fee with the selling club, should the clubs fail to agree then a fee would be set by a tribunal plus associated legal costs on top of that.
Is there any good reason why we don’t just set a ruling that we use FIFA’s Training Compensation framework .. that seems anyone can see and use … and stop chucking money down the drain in Scottish football, with tribunals and legal fees ? Is it usual SFA soaking up cash for themselves and cronies that would suffer ? Or is there a good reason we don’t ?
FIFA requires all member associations to have their own rules in place for domestic training compensation. It’s rare it even ends up in a tribunal. The only examples I can think of off the top of my head are the recent Connor Barron transfer and Charlie Telfer joining Dun Utd from Rangers in 2014.
Off topic a bit, but is there any rumours relating to the appointment of a new CEO yet
Media article today where the Auckland coach said that goalkeeper Alex Paulsen who pulled off a ‘world class’ save on the weekend has reached a stage where needs to play in a stronger league.
He went on to say that he doesn’t know for sure where he will be playing next season, but it won’t be at Auckland.
I’d like to see him at Easter Road next season, but due to his form I wouldn’t be totally surprised if he goes straight to Bournemouth either.
Declan Gallagher to leave Dundee Utd at the end of the season after not being offered a new contract. 36 appearances for Dundee Utd this season.
