I was at Anna Thai in Portobello tonight, it’s closing down next month which is a real shame as it’s so nice.
It’s always been reasonably priced but they are doing 20% off food right now so even better.
Just back, our first time there tonight. Absolutely fantastic, would highly recommend, there was not one meat I was disappointed with, the salad and side cart was also far better than I expected. Overall a 10/10 from me.Quote:

Not a meal but I was at a cocktail tasting at Summerhall Drinks Lab in the old Royal (shortened name for Richard) Vet building a couple of weeks ago.
Would heartily recommend. We were given vouchers as a wedding present and the Tiki tasting took our fancy. 2 full size cocktails that you mix yourself and 3 half size prepared for you. All the drinks are explained and then the history of Tiki drinks culture and the wider story if the culture(s) is spoken about why you are drinking. The guys who ran it were great.
They do all sorts of tastings with various themes and formats. I'll definitely be going again (albeit I probably won't bookend 5 lethally strong cocktails with numerous pints next time).
