Turns out Budge designed a new box for the game.
While the game retails at £19.99, sadly the box she designed - with a glass curtain frontage and a castle view as standard - costs £26.00 per box to manufacture.
The Waddington box-makers have recently been given an ultimatum of taking a 50% pay cut or being laid off.
An email has since surfaced from Borthwick - sent to rival boxmakers, it offers them untold riches in the autumn if they take the Waddington job instead, without any idea how that makes Waddington look in everyone's eyes.
Waddingtons are waging a press & media charm offensive to blame it all on Corona virus, and definitely not on the glass curtain, the castle view, or Queen Ann - who we are reminded is "a shrewd business brain".
Its not fake, there´s spelling mistakes in it.
Are Hearts the only club in Scotland still paying their players the full amount?

We really need to stop calling them H@@@@@
They are utter filth

Unless I'm reading the UKG guidance wrong, it looks like people working on reduced pay cannot be furloughed. So Naismith is sitting pretty on half pay and can't be furloughed but if Budgie decides she can't afford to keep paying the other players their full whack per month, and they don't agree to reduced pay or deferred payments, she may have no option but to furlough them and they might find themselves on £2500 per month. Or am I talking rubbish?
I'll happily defer to someone who knows what they're talking about, cos I'm not sure I do.
Edit- can't post a hyperlink properly and sure how I should.
It's a funny one as this whole time Naismith has been painted as a saint for accepting half pay.... maybe 5k A WEEK..?
When the other option to him would be to get the government allotted 2.5k a month!
Hmmm why's he getting any plaudits again? Seems he's played a blinder! (For possibly the first time this season?!)
Apologies if I'm spreading duff info.
The UKG website states "If an employee is working, but on reduced hours, or for reduced pay, they will not be eligible for this scheme".
I think I have misinterpreted this initially. Looking at it again, I think it's saying that you cannot use the scheme if the employee keeps working, even if it's on reduced pay or reduced hours.
I might leave this to experts from now on...
In the absence of an expert (ie CWG), I'd say the key word is "working".
So if the players are left to train on their own instead of reporting to East Mains, they're not working and can be furloughed. I don't think that would be the case if Hibs have issued them with training programmes and are monitoring the players' fitness, but there's still a lot of detail to be released about the scheme.
I would imagine for a player to be fully furloughed then no training would be allowed, or certainly no direction or contact with the club...
If I worked for a big company and as part of my CPD the company were paying for me to study an OU course, if I was using my time while furloughed to do extra studying then I doubt that would be seen as a breach of the furlough.
I think players training at home comes into the same category.

They are a weird lot. They have no deal at all with their players and are still paying their full wages but clubs who are getting deferrals are making crazy decisions? Doubt I’ll ever understand them.

The Hibs players are furloughed and the club are paying up to an agreed sum of their wage on top of the govt 2.5k a month. The balance above the actual monthly amount paid is deferred. So every one of our players will get their full wage over time. I think too many folk are getting into the technicalities as to what constitutes working while furloughed. The players will be keeping themselves ticking over.
The phone calls were voluntary, nae bother with those.
Furlough means no working for the employer. Don’t think the club can be setting rigid training plans as this might be seen as a work task. But the players aren’t meeting up for training anyhow so little or no tactical work can be done.
Players will of course be expected to keep fit but intensity will of course drop, furlough or not. So mad not to imo... at least the club gets £2.5k a month for each player, better than nothing.
Has it been confirmed Naismith has agreed 50% reduction listened to the Sportsound interview on Saturday with Budge and she said no player was being asked to take more than a 30ish :greengrin percentage cut. Given she hasn't trumpeted an agreement yet would assume no agreement in place.
Have the SPFL really not made a decision on the league yet?
These people are the biggest bunch of cowards ever.
Think I heard at the weekend there was an Spfl board meeting yesterday and they would possibly then deliver what they thought to a clubs meeting today. Whether that is correct at all :greengrin or whether anything is ratified today who knows. :greengrin
On another point I wonder how the spfl board deal with decisions where some of the board members would have an obvious conflict of interest given they are primarily if not totally Donkey aside made up of club representatives.
It’s complicated - the calls might be voluntary but they were given the details by their employer so technically they’ve been asked to do work?
As for training I agree - they can train on their own but if they’ve been given a programme by the club to follow then they’re following their employers instructions.
According to the Daily Ranger, The Rangers have started digging up their pitch.
I’m no fan of the football administrators in this country but disagree with you here.
It’s a difficult decision they’ve got ahead of them and whatever route they go down they will likely have to head of a law suit. On top of that they have to be seen to be following UEFA guidance or their members will be hit hard in the pocket with possible bans from Europe.
As long as UEFA are saying the league season needs to be finished it’s difficult for our league to make a final decision.
I think the next step that will come out will be a target return date or a deadline for games starting up again with a caveat that if they’re not up and running by then, that’s when plans for next season will be unveiled.
Clubs need clarity now on whats going to happen. Not another 2 months of obscurity and confusion.
:agree: I was talking about it yesterday and the more you think about the more complicated it gets.
Contracts ending, transfer windows - can clubs sign players in the summer and if so can they play this season or do they need to wait until next season, players being cup tied but having moved on - if we play the rest of the cup in November who’s eligible? Imagine we signed Shankland having put his team out of the cup and he went on to score the winner in the final for us?
There was a meeting of the SPFL board yesterday and today there are 4 meetings of each of the 4 leagues where the board are likely to let the clubs know their recommendations.
I would think there will be leaks from today’s meetings.
While I don’t think the SPFL will make a decision today, it’s possible they set out a road map to a decision. Something along the lines of ‘if clubs can’t resume training by x date then the league will be called in current positions’. Means they are giving every chance to finish the games, so keeping UEFA happy while also giving the likes of Hearts time to adjust to the reality of relegation.

Reported in The Times that they may call the lower leagues (championship down) as finished and leave decision on premier for longer to see if any chance of resuming.
Interesting points. The Scottish cup has a chance of being finished next season just because the clubs involved will want the cash and so will the SFA. And it’s only three games.
I would think they will have to amend the rules in these special circumstances to allow teams to play with their new squads.

They'll call the season. Only question will be which system they use. Leave as is or use a super-computer (as they did in the old days for Pools Coupons).
Or they could also feed all the data into Football Manager and show the games play out on Sky

United to be promoted but relegation not clear....ffs
I think it just means form championship and below they have a clear view with United going up but haven’t decided on premiership yet.
If United are going up and no league reconstruction then the Bambi’s are going down down down.
I think that Dundee United will be promoted.
They will then have some kind of a play off between those that could still have been promoted / relegated part or play off as part of pre-season to determine who are in SPL or Championship. Those that were mathematically most likely will have more play off rounds to negotiate (Hearts)
If Partick are getting relegated then Hearts should be relegated. Surely it's only a matter of time until it happens.
I heard something yesterday saying that the post-split fixtures will be binned and the season will end once teams play their remaining fixtures, meaning Hearts have 3 games to save themselves
That would need them to create a rule that wasn't in place at the beginning of the season which no clubs were playing to and would surely leave Hamilton with a legal challenge?
Mind you an arrangement like this would be purely to accommodate the thieves and since they managed to fiddle the 5 way agreement through anything's possible in Scottish football.

It’s not because it’s Hearts that I’m annoyed, but there’s a very good chance they’ll bounce straight back up. Hamilton, Ross Co etc, their goal every season is survival. It would be very damaging to them. Hearts are bottom for a reason. They’re the worst team in the league. Take your punishment without the embarrassing legal threat.
Suspect the reason they're dealing with the Prem differently is to allow them to come to their own inevitable conclusion through discussion ..
Option 1 - Wait for what could be months until games are allowed again, with no financial payout from the SFA/SPFL, running the real risk some clubs going bust (incl Hearts & Sevco)... only to end up with the same likely outcome - Celtic win the league, and Hearts get relegated. That could be extremely costly to many Prem clubs, just to give Hearts and Sevco a straw to clutch to.
Option 2 - Hearts and Sevco accept the inevitable, lifeline payouts are made to all clubs, tell UEFA to STFU and get on with planning for next season, selling season tickets etc. Hearts might be offered some money to take their medicine and avoid any costly legal challenge. This is probably the best that Budge can expect at this point and I suspect she'll accept it and sell it as some kind of moral victory to Hearts fans.
Sounds like the only reason the top league isn’t being decided on just now is UEFA.
The SPL are simply waiting for UEAFA too come to their senses and accept the season is over . Probably still have two weeks 1st of May before player contracts cause major problems so SPL can wait.
Accept what Championship League 1/2 have asked for and pay out now prize money too keep them going
All SPL have to do in two weeks is say Hearts down ........Four points adrift . Partick and play off teams are unfortunate .
Oh happy days 👍
The net is closing on Hearts. What the SPFL have cleverly in my opinion done is said, ok all clubs you have two choices: 1. Void season or 2. call it as it is. And while the premier league clubs also vote, the outcome of this cannot be confirmed until SPFL have spoken and advised UEFA (remember the point made by president that he didn’t want to hear about it in the press).
All 42 clubs getting a vote. Only teams impacted significantly will vote to void it - Rangers (bitterness), Hearts and Patrick. Maybe one or two more. 90%+ will vote to call it given other option commercial suicide.
Then we will see Dundee United promoted, no play off and Patrick down and same approach for league 1 and 2. For Premier League - Celtic champions, Hearts relegated and confirmed ONLY ONCE discussed with UEFA - so might be a couple of weeks.
Hearts are 99% down.
Do Brechin stay up? That’s what I heard recently.
Looking at that CWG it states "A furloughed employee can take part in volunteer work, if it does not provide services to or generate revenue for, or on behalf of your organisation"
I have a vested interest in this, as a voluntary treasurer of a charity that is planning to continue paying full salaries to our small number of staff and furloughing them to recoup 80% of our costs. There might be some small opportunities for some staff to volunteer, but my reading of what I saw previously on that page suggested they couldn't. What could they do that is not providing a "service" to the organisation?
The penny is even starting to drop over on kickback...
Don't t disagree with anything apart from in sure UEFA said what happens with individual countries leugues is their decision.
Yes the are fronting up about European cups but if as expected we finish the leuges as they are then I doubt it will be a problem.
