Yeah that's exactly what what I said above word for word 🤔

Think it is very much half time. We missed a chance to take a lead away to Croatia but are still in with a shout.
We are very much on a learning curve as far as European football goes.
Can't wait on Thursday.
Agree!
It's going to be difficult, but I'm confident that we'll win over there and win. However, there's been many times when I've been confident, but we do not turn up and lose.
However, I don't do negativity and I'm confident that if we take our chances then we'll win.
I've enjoyed having some input from the Croatian teams supporters, of course he's going to stick up for his team, and we are doing the same for ours.
Knowing how these games go, if we'd played like they did away in the first leg, we'd be over the moon with a draw, and confident of a win at home.
Personally i think we have a chance, probably more of a chance than i did before the first leg of going through to the next round.
Although saying that, i still have them as good favourites.
6-0 Hibs.
Great result and performance today. I thought Rijeka might have a slight advantage with resting this weekend but having the game won before half-time and not needing to exert ourselves in the 2nd half is better. The players should all be sharp for the 2nd leg.
Am I right in saying that the game is at 5.30 UK time which is 6.30pm local time?? Currently temperature forecasted is 31 degrees.
If that is the kick off time, why on earth did they not make it 8 or 9pm local time to avoid the heat?
Gives them a huge advantage
8 pm our time definitely.
Looking at posts by some Hibs fans I detect a hint of bravado.
The odds are showing as Rijeka 5/6, Hibs 3/1 to win on the night in 90 mins. So Rijeka are warm favourites, which is not surprising given they are at home and have a much better recent European pedigree than Hibs.
We do have a chance on Thursday based on last week's showing but we are the clear underdog.
Are HIBS TV doing a PPV for the Thursday game..?
I thought Rijeka were very sloppy and bang average to be perfectly honest and on our current form I’ll be very disappointed to not be in next weeks play off round.
Some of the comments on this thread are giving me an “Apollo creed in the press conference prior to fighting Drago” vibe. They will be a different beast at home and I think we need to be very cautious about underplaying their abilities.
One info for You coming in Rijeka.
For those who are planning to buy ticket for the game at the stadium, working hours are as follows:
Western entrance (main entrance on stadium):
- every working day 16-21 h
- game day starting at 17.00
Eastern entrance:
- only on game day, starting at 18.30
Credit cards and cash accepted.
Weather forecast for this week is hot, no rain.
https://meteo.hr/prognoze_e.php?Code...7d&el=hrvatska
On Thursday at 8 pm temperature 29°C.
The weather could be a real leveller. Almost 30 degrees at kick off time is very very hot.
One remark about our jersey colors.
Traditionally we always had white jerseys and this is our home jersey color (always combined with light blue).
Second kit was light blue, always.
But new owner introduced red jersey as third kit and black one as fourth. We also had one limited edition of purple ones, very rare today to find.
So in time, red jersey became second kit, and at the moment we have only two kits: white and red.
If you ask supporters, red would be kicked out or it can be only as third option. But, that is just our opinion.
Rijeka average attendances are less than 5,000 (2nd highest in Croatia) so they have no need to rush to finish it.
Only Hadjuk Split get decent attendances, circa 12,000, so still almost a third smaller than Hibs.
Their top league average attendance is only about 3,500 which is less than 25% of the average for our league.
Suggests your average Croation isn't that interested in football.
Rijeka players writing our team talk -
https://www.edinburghlive.co.uk/spor...paign=sharebar
He's the one who has no idea. He still thinks we're a long ball team.
Not only has he got them beating us, he's got them beating Bohemians or PAOK and then winning the group. 😂😂 I'm all for players having confidence but if a player over here came out with something like that he'd be slated. If they don't now do all that he's going to look like the idiot he obviously is.
Guys,
match is closing by, tensions are rising so I think it is time for me to leave this forum.
Thanks for letting me in, hope I helped with tips and tricks.
Looking forward for Thursday game, I will be on northern stand with my crew.
Hopefully our teams will meet each other again in some normal times so we can go to Edinburgh and You can come in Rijeka in bigger numbers.
Live long and prosper.
Thanks for you contribution Rijeka (& Star Trek) fan and tips for all those who are travelling to the game.
I would have said good luck for the rest of the tournament if your team wins but after your player's comments, I might not bother. 😃 Like you say, tensions are rising, I think your player's comments are because he is feeling the pressure.
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.
It was clear to me they weren’t expecting us to be as good on the ball as we were on Thursday and that helped us dominate. I’d have assumed they would have learned from that but if they genuinely believe we’re a long ball team after the first leg I think we’ve got a great chance. Not sure if this is some strange attempt at mind games but the way we’ve started the season it’ll backfire for them
I don’t think it needs to be our team talk, I just think we ignore it.
The last two times they’ve faced a Scottish side has been Aberdeen so no wonder they think Scottish sides are long ball hoof merchants.
If they want to play on the deck thinking it will trouble us then let them think that, it plays right into our hands.
Go out there, play our football with no distractions and we will be a good match for them at least.
hope we get Bohemians fan appearing after thursday :greengrin

Message To Fans Ahead Of Our Away Trip To HNK Rijeka

Fans are reminded that there are no away tickets for our away trip to HNK Rijeka on Thursday in the third-qualifying round of the UEFA Europa Conference League.
We are all really excited for our away trip to Rijeka. It is a chance to get one step closer to the group stage of the Europa Conference League and build on our impressive start to the 2021/22 season.
Hopefully we can make it a night to remember for fans and set up a play-off tie against either Bohemians or PAOK. But we are duty bound to remind all Hibernian fans that there are no away tickets available for the game.
All tickets will be checked prior to entry and any Hibernian fans who are not Croat residents will be turned away at the gate. HNK Rijeka reserve the right to do this solely at their discretion.
If any Hibernian fans do manage to somehow enter the stadium, they will risk ejection and put the club at risk of a UEFA fine.
We have been made aware of posts on social media from a few fans saying they will be travelling to Croatia to attend the game. While Croatia is a green-listed country, and people from this country are free to travel there for holiday purposes, we nonetheless urge you to stay in Scotland and not travel over for the match.
If you are heading to Croatia please don't gather outside the stadium and ensure you watch the match safely and responsibly. We want our trip to Rijeka to be a memorable occasion so encourage all fans to please stay at home and watch the game on Premier Sports.

Flying to Split tomorrow. Can't wait.
Won't be going anywhere near the game and don't really care.
Croatia is a great country so a perfect excuse to get over there and enjoy the sun, watch the game on the telly with pals on the beautiful Dalmatian Coast.
Maybe go and see the Hadjuk Split game on Saturday, fly back Sunday.
No point in driving all the way up there just to not get into the game.
Hibs can urge me to stay in Scotland all they like. I prefer warm weather.
Both. There's a few of us going. My pal got married there a few years ago.
Not my idea but when they said they were going and I saw the price of flights (£50 return) couldn't resist.
Definitely a holiday primarily for me but will be interesting watching the game there. I imagine Hadjuk fans won't mind who wins so can't imagine any hassles.
To be allowed entry into Croatia, all travellers from the UK regardless of their vaccination status must present either a negative COVID-19 antigen test, which must not be older than 48 hours, or a negative PCR test, no older than 72 hours on arrival. People travelling to Croatia from the UK are not permitted to do these tests on arrival in Croatia. Passengers arriving without a valid test certificate will be denied entry to Croatia.
Team flying out later today, good idea, gives them 2 days to get used to the heat
Looks like Kevin is going to be fit, means Jack has a good selection headache to make
Enjoy, won't lie the weather does make me jealous.
The Hibs post is aimed at folk going over for the sole purpose of trying to get in to the game, you're going for a holiday and not trying to enter the stadium for the Hibs game so I don't think any criticism could be levelled at you. Enjoy your break!
We are a strong, fit team and it is early in the season.
Don't want to hear this heat nonsense as an excuse if we don't perform. It was as hot in Tripolis a couple of years back and we got through. Based on club performances however, Rijeka are a slight step up from Asteras Tripolis.
Looking for a similar performance on Thursday as we had in Greece.
We better turn up.
Confident we're going to put in a good performance against the Radge Jakies.
A much tougher test awaits us I'd imagine
How do we think we'll line up?
Same formation or switch to 532 with Boyle at RWB and Murphy playing off the striker?
Must say I thought Asteras were far superior than the Rijeka we saw the other night. Which is slightly ominous as surely they can’t be as bad again.
What a trip Tripolis was. A beautiful place you’d never consider going if it wasn’t for the match. Great atmosphere in the ground and an excellent team performance with a spirit to match.
We’ll need the same again Thursday I’m sure.
ADMINS: I see that we've two threads covering the MMK Rjeka game. Whilst the one below is new for the away leg, the topic has already been well discussed in this thread. Any chance we can merge! For auld guys like myself, it makes it easier to remember which thread I posted on. :panic:
Rijeka Away (hibs.net)
Anybody else reading between the lines and seeing this cryptic message as really meaning “come along liquored up and full of Bolivian marching powder with a mob of CCS and cause as much aggro as you like, the local old bill are pretty lax and it’ll be easy to get into the stadium and then initiate some mass 80’s style carnage in the town” or is just me?
Bet 365 have got them to win at 19/20 and Hibs at 12/5. That's worth a punt or do they know something we don't?
I watched it seconds before posting

In other news, I see that the BBC are showing the St Johnstone v Galataseray game. Both legs available to anyone who wants it while our game is on a subscription channel.
