I watched this after reading your recommendation, thanks, very much enjoyed 😊

Was Traitors not on last night ? Planned to catch up with it today but cant seem to find it
Silent Witness back on form last night after a dodgy last series. John Hannah in this storyline and is delivering the goods.
Bumped my own thread up as today’s news that the government, urged by the awareness this drama has raised, have announced urgent and unequivocal intent to compensate, in the fullest way, the victims of this gross miscarriage of justice. Furthermore, I hope that the then, bullying and unscrupulous staff of the Post Office will be charged for their criminal behaviour.
I'm delighted these cases are now getting the publicity they deserve. It's remained a pretty niche story until this last couple of weeks, largely ignored by the mainstream media.
Private Eye has covered the story for years and I've followed along as it has progressed. I've watched the first couple of episodes of the drama but it just got me riled up all over again even though, or maybe because, it's so well done.
Once again it’s taken a TV drama about a real event to waken the government into action. Shameful it really is.
Just watched all 8 episodes of Fool Me Once. First two or three episodes were ok and promised a good series. Gradually this farce turned into one of the worst drama series I’ve seen for a long time. Rubbish plot, long drawn out storyline, too many twists and ham acting. Apparently, publicity claims this has been an acclaimed hit worldwide. I despair. :greengrin
Making up for my last post, above, I’ve just come across Boat Story, a black, at times gruesome, comedy with a promising storyline and very good script. Some well know faces, including Daisy Haggard, Tchéky Karyo ( The Missing and Baptiste ) and Phil Daniels. Worth a watch.
Season 4 of True Detective starts on Sky Atlantic on Monday. Jodie Foster and Christopher Ecclestone.
If it's half as good as the last 3 seasons it should be good.
Don’t know if this should be on the documentary thread or not but 24hrs in police custody last week was unbelievable, crazy how much 1 moment of complete madness ruined so many life’s to see it all play out was quite scary
Season five of fargo (prime) has been brilliant so far, only one more episode to go. It's back to its best again after the previous two seasons where not up to much
Couple of series Started.
The Bear - loving this so far
Criminal Record - got my attention after the first episode.
Finders keepers on channel 5 ment to be ok , Will start later in the week
Mrs Radge and I are few episodes into Boy Swallows Universe.
We think it's brilliant.
Truelove on 4 is good if difficult to watch. Assisted dying is the theme.
Watched fool me once with the wife during the week
Started well but ended with more questions than answers. Very poorly done imo
Scanning the last few pages for something new to watch over the weekend
1 episode left of the first series of Dark Winds, been a good watch so far, available on Alibi.
I’m hearing that The Deceived on Netflix is a must. I’ve read there’s a supernatural element, which puts me off. I’ve got a thing against supernatural dramas but don’t want to miss out if it’s good.
Halfway through the first series of Doctor Death based on a true story about a surgeon in America, what a psychopath! 🤬
Been re-watching Malcolm In The Middle. Had forgot how good it was and how clever the writing could be. Seemed to get better, or at least maintain its quality, each season.
Battered my way through all 3 series of Slow Horses .
Mental. Spooks meets John le Carre meets Tom Cruise.
And... I have said this so often over the years..... Gary Oldman :not worth:not worth:not worth
Started Loudermilk on Netflix. Pretty funny and he seems a great character.
I’ve watched this and the ‘supernatural’ element was not an issue ( no spoilers). However, like a few series I’ve looked at recently, what started off as a promising watch, for me, turned in to a convoluted disappointment. Publicity says that it’s a real attention grabber with a great plot and great acting, but I fail to see where that opinion comes from. Too much is crammed into the final episode, as often happens these days. I’d be interested to hear other opinions, ‘cos it might just be me. :greengrin
I rewatched Malcolm in the Middle recently and I was stunned at how old it looked.
In my head I know it's a quarter of a century old and is basically the same as me watching a 70s show when I was a kid but at the same time it still feels like yesterday it was on first time around.
1 episode to go of the second season of Kin, it continues to be very good. I believe that there are at least 2 more seasons on the way.
Anyone with kids who hasn’t seen the Julia Donaldson adaptations on iplayer, they’re a goldmine and much more palatable than reading the stories 😂
Masters of The Air looking like it’s going to be very good.
Traitors on BBC iplayer. Great show
Second this.
I am partial to the odd reality tv show but usually those including wilderness survival or some sort of multi-stage challenge (007 on Prime was decent).
This however is just pure paranoia the gameshow and I absolutely loved it. I guess it does have the mission aspect, so not entirely surprised it was right up my street.
Couldn't take my eyes off both seasons.

Recruiting now for series 3, dont think I could handle the pressure 🤣
The massive unscripted hit The Traitors will be back for a third series," Kalpna Patel-Knight, head of entertainment at the BBC, said. "Expect to see more psychological gameplay, exciting challenges and, of course, Claudia at the helm
I think I'd rather just experience it from the couch! [emoji28]
Went from thinking that being a traitor would be quite fun, to thinking that I'd have absolutely no chance of keeping a poker face for ~10 days very quickly [emoji23]

Yeah Im the same, my Wife said I would be a great traitor because Im a devious **** !! 🤣
I just couldnt, Im too much of a prankster so either way I think I would be booted before Ive even had my morning coffee. I actually suggested to my Wife she should apply and she said oh thats nice, do you think I would do well ? I said no but it would be great to have some peace for a few days 🤣
I think it's got everything.
Tension, mystery, humour, charm, a good plot, some great lines, a no-nonsense bad guy and, for the most part, very good acting (apart from the bad guys who I could probably play! 😃).
Wee Eli is brilliant, his openness and honesty is perfect, but I wish he'd just keep schtum sometimes. :hilarious
The new series of Trigger point was on last night. Really enjoyed it but forgot how tense it was, especially for a Sunday night.
I’ve recently been disappointed with recent series, which have been given rave reviews and recommendations. The latest Netflix ‘must watch’ I’ve come across is Griselda. Any opinions?
Finished it last night, interesting enough story, along the same lines of Narcos but nowhere near as good, great soundtrack and some of the characters seemed liked caricatures of coke dealing bad guys, some funny scenes, some disturbing, probably a 6.5 out of 10 for me
Beef on Netflix is pretty good.
Finally got round to starting season 7 of Outlander, continues to be a tremendous programme.
Anyone watched Irvine Welsh's Crime, heard mixed reviews, was going to start tonight as I am struggling to find something to watch
I finished the traitors season 2 last night really enjoyed that gripping tv at the end
Trigger Point S2 off to a flyer.
Not tv but a radio show. MCLEVY. brian cox plays a hard polis from leith in Victorian times. Well worth a listen
I started watching The Traitors last night and I wish I hadn't. :hilarious
It's an unbelievably compelling show and even the cynic in me is prepared to ignore/dismiss what looks to me like staged, or set up, scenarios.
I'll be back on it today for sure.
Guilty pleasure for me this weekend. For ages, my daughter and granddaughter have been coaxing me to watch ‘This Is Us’, an, apparently acclaimed, American series about the story of a family’s life experiences. I’d heard about it ages ago, but dismissed it as smalzy, shallow and a waste of viewing time. Well, how wrong was I? I’m now hooked on it and can’t believe the quality of this TV drama. Fast moving, bouncing back and forward in time, easy watching but heart-warming, sad, humorous and thought provoking. Added bonus, it stars Sterling K. Brown, multi-award recipient and recently nominated for an Oscar for his role in American Fiction. Apologies if I’m really late to the party and covering old ground.
Watched the first season of True Detective, thought it was excellent.
Have watched the first episode of the new story in season 2 but struggled to get into it. Will persist with it though.
How many Walking Dead Spin Offs are there? I see there’s yet another new one. I watched the original series until sometime in session 2 (when they made it to the prison) and lost interest. Watched one of the prequel spin offs, was only about 6 episodes (Fear The Walking Dead?) but my word they are milking the franchise to extremes!
Going to start Sexy Beast, enjoyed the film with Ray Winstone
About half way through Love/Hate on ITV X.
Any fans of Kin should give it a go. Nidge is a great character. Got more of a trainspotting vibe to it compared to Kin.
Started watching Invasion on Apple TV last night really enjoying it so far
Couple of episodes into Ted. Not a patch on the movies hopefully it improves.
Just finished After the Flood, nearly as bad as Finders Keepers.
When i had my knee replacement, i was laid up for weeks due to complications. The walking dead got me through some very long nights, yes it got a bit daft towards the end, but i can say i did enjoy it mostly right to the finish.:greengrin
I've not watched any of the spin offs.
