I drink a lot of Tetley tea and have never (knowingly) had Covid. Does that mean I have discovered alternative, alternative medicine

Covid on the way to becoming another seasonal flu. Its now less deadly than the flu. That not all good news though. Its still deadly as is the flu and it will unfortunately kill thousands a year. Its just another kick our NHS doesn't need going forward

Biggest issue with Covid was we had no vaccine, unlike the flu which is a similar type of coronovirus, its been around for hundreds of years and our bodies have certain amount of immunity. Covid was new but now we have vaccines, it becomes similar to influenza.
Not covid but the cost of antivax nutters that covid amplified. There has been a large rise in uk and worldwide of kids getting measles and unfortunately a spike in measles deaths worldwide. 1 in 4 kids with measles get hospitalised and there is a vaccine, get vaccinated

Heartbreaking. Enraging.
Deaths from measles surged 43% to 136,000 last year https://upi.com/Health_News/2023/11/...9421700160674/ via

"...prompted by a wave of infections among unvaccinated children..."
"The increase in measles outbreaks and deaths is staggering"
Looking for some advice.:greengrin
This week, I have the Covid. As far as I know, it's my first time. If I've had it before, it's been so mild that it's gone unnoticed. So pretty lucky, but clueless about a few things.
The first couple of times I tested myself this week, the red (positive) line appeared quickly and looked pretty f'n angry !! This morning, it took a little longer to appear, and seemed less "red".
Is that significant? Or just a ....cough... red herring?
Is there a new covid test out now or are you using the old ones that you still had? I only ask as i did not think folk were bothering with covid now, I know i'm certainly not?
If i feel a bit rough i dont automatically think of covid anymore, not sure if thats a bad thing or not? :dunno:
Sky is ramping up the MPOX drama, with some new graphics and some strong language.
They make it sound its a universal infection and make zero reference to the official NHS explanation “ Currently most cases have been in men who are gay, bisexual or have sex with other men, so it's particularly important to be aware of the symptoms if you're in these groups”
We are a weird country. Good news though vaccines needed so some pharmaceutical companies have another payday coming.
My wife had it about 4 weeks ago, felt rough for about 2-3 days and then just tired for 3-4 days, I had a cough and blocked up nose and put it down to a summer cold but I think it may have been Covid, time I tested it was negative but same symptoms as her but less so.
We have some tests left as we were eligible for the free tests for longer than the general population as we were classed as unpaid carers. They sat in a drawer for ages then when I felt ill earlier in the year I decided to test myself. It didn't work as most of the liquid seemed to have evaporated - where to I don't know as it seems to be a sealed tube.
I’ve still got some as I my Dad hoovered up tests from his work (works in a College). Found some boxes that I didn’t know I had looking for something else yesterday.
Used mine when I felt rough and had a cough at the start of the Summer. Turns out it was just a cold.
